Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This Jack of All Trade Jeep brochure was published in March of 1963.
Niel shared a scan of his 1958 Jeep calendar. He says it puts a smile on his face every time he sees it. The only other calendar I have scanned is the 1961 calendar. Anyone know when these Jeep calendars first began and when (if) they ended?
Newton made at least two different models of the mower, a “J” and an “L”. It was the “J” that was used on the jeep (according to the ad). (See brochures for the Newton and other mowers here)

I found this Hurricane Engine Introduction on eBay. It’s the first one I’ve seen. It credits Barney Roos for redeveloping the L-head into a more powerful engine without forcing a complete retooling.

This great article from the July 1947 issue of W-O Sales News highlights the use of jeeps as ice-cream distributors and as a diaper service. Companies highlighted include Better Brands Ice Cream Novelties, Swell Time Ice Cream Corporation, and Wee Folk Laundry.

I like the way the hydraulic line from the snow plow was fed through the open window. K & K claimed the blade could be installed in two minutes or less. I’m thinking it should have been called the “Two Minute Snow Blade”.
This was published around 1950. It’s less story and more marketing, but still interesting. The argument that the trencher doesn’t affect the roadability of the jeep might be a stretch ….
