About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(01/08/2013) The seller indicates this needs some work. I wonder if that’s a fiberglass body.
“1949 cj 3a. New tires, brakes soft top etc…. Has sticker and I drive it six days a week to work. The price reflects the condition… needs some work but as stated, road worthy and dependable”
“Willys was handed down to me a while back and I just don’t have time for it. It is all there, complete from tip to tail. It has the L-134 flathead and original suspension and wheels. There is a bit of rust here and there but nothing too serious, the floors have no rust. I have CA title for it and has been on non-op for years. It was running when parked years ago but will need to be towed out”
This is a project and is a mix of makes. The roll cage is not longer with the jeep.
“1948 Jeep CJ2-A (Project)
Jeep does not currently run. Jeep was a project that I started and am unable to complete.
All original body panels are there. Has the original stamped “Willys” hood, windshield, and tailgate.
The frame and body are about the only thing left stock.
The axles are from a Toyota 4Runner (Front and Rear)
Newer springs, approximately a 6″ lift.
Have the drive train out of a 1997 S-10 (engine, transmission, and transfer case)
Engine: 4.3 V-6 (approx. 90,000 miles)
Transmission: Automatic 4-speed (approx. 1,000 miles)
Engine, transmission, and transfer case are not currently mounted in the Jeep.
Jeep is pretty much the body mounted to the frame. Everything else had been removed.
Also have the following items:
Complete engine harness for the 4.3 V-6.
Steering column from the 97 S-10.
Brake booster from the 97 S-10.
Two sets of wheels: Chromed steel wheels that are mounted on the Jeep and a new set of 6-Hole Eagle aluminum alloys.”
This looks nice. The drain holes appear filled. The grille looks later than a ’46 and the windshield frame might be aftermarket or modified.

“This is a 1947 Willys CJ2A Farm Jeep . It runs excellent and is in very nice condition. It originally came from Nebraska and was not exposed to road salt. It has a working PTO and drum pulley. It currently is registered and inspected. This is a real nice old Jeep.”
“This 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A has been well taken care of and runs great. It was made to run through almost any terrain. A jeep this nice is hard to find at this price. No need to restore. It also comes with a tandem trailer built specifically for this jeep. It also comes with a complete top including doors.”
