This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys project complete body minus windshield frame, frame with steering , springs and axles this was military will need mvd inspection to have title and vin. great project my loss your gain possible trade for jet boat and trailer, car trailer, tools or tool box (snap on , mac ,matco, cornwell) , welder (mig 220v ), or ?????? or 1500.00 obo.”

Parts or project.
“Selling this Willys CJ2A Jeep for parts or restoration. It is missing parts but may be a good start on a WWll Jeep project. Look at the photos and ask any questions. There is no title and rarely is on old jeeps. It will come as is . . I just don’t have time for it. It’s not running but rolls freely. Someone put a v-6 in it but the trans is original. I know very little else about it. Thanks for looking.”

“Willys Jeep CJ for rebuild or parts. It has old Colorado plates and can be titled, we don’t have the title. Needs an engine.”
It’s a project with an f-head.
“1946 Jeep CJ-2A in restorable condition. It is what you would expect an unrestored 68 year old jeep to be. But it could be the ultimate jeep if you are jeep lover looking for a project. I bought it a couple of months ago and just don’t have the time for this project. The CJ-2A was the first jeep sold to the public, and 46 was the second year it was made. At some point the motor was swapped to the Hurricane straight 4 cylinder. It has a hood scoop to accommodate the taller head. It is not running and I don’t know any history on it. The tires are dry rotted and the right front studs were cut to remove the wheel. It was stored inside for the last four years. Text for more info.”

The fender solution is unusual. They are curved rather than angular. I wish there was a clearer photo of the whole jeep.
UPDATE: Pics now provided. It’s not a completely unmolested jeep, but still quite stock. Check out those vintage tires. They kind of look like Desert Dog knock-offs.

(09/02/2014) Needs some work.
“Was bought from second owner who purchased from forestry service in the 40’s.
Local Bay Area vehicle. Was garaged for the past twelve years.
No rust in pan, service rust only, really clean starter project.
Complety stock, go devil flathead four cylinder engine. Stock twin stick two speed transfercase.
Stock Dana 35’s.
