About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Ive been in the old Willys jeep hobby for the last 10 years but am never going to get around to restoring or using all my CJ parts and I feel like cleaning house.
What Ive got is a 2a-3a rolling chassis = axles, wheels and tires, frame, springs, and engine. I dont have a body to go with it, but I do have odd body parts – two windshields, two hoods, fenders, old exhaust that seems solid but is rusty on the outside. All parts need work to be a jeep. This is a good starting point for a restoration, whether you want a factory fresh jeep or just a hunting/bash around jeep. The stuff in this paragraph is $400.
Ive also got other various parts – a few starters, radiators, distributors, even some seat cushions. If you’re interested in enough of the other parts, I can make you a deal on it all.
I tried to sell this last summer, but I think I was asking too much at the time and am ready to simply let it go. If you’ve looked at project jeeps you know this is a good deal. Come by this wkend and take a look.”

(03/01/2010) This jeep hasn’t been run in about 5 years. It needs a few items addressed.
“This 66 year old Jeep is one of the first commercial Jeeps manufactured after WW 2 and has been in protected storage for over 16 years. It was last run about 6 years ago. Carburetor cleaned at that time. It has a 12 volt starting system instead of 6 volt Has a soft top, and a bikini top too. Tow bar. Roll bar. Rear seat. 15 inch, not 16 inch, tires have little mileage. Carburetor was new in 1990. Over 100,000 miles on the odometer. Rebuilt 4-cylinder engine with less than 5,000 miles. Replacement parts include the two front metal fenders and added aluminum rear panels and heavy-duty front bumper. Has a swing out spare tire carrier, military gas cans maybe be mounted either side of spare tire. Repairs needed: gas tank leaks (pin hole). The master brake cylinder needs to be inspected or repaired. Seat frames are original with Naugahyde covered foam covering which either needs to be replaced or seat covers installed. The exhaust pipe needs to be reconnected to exhaust manifold and tail pipe, maybe muffler, needs replacing. Automobile magazine for July, 2013 estimates that restored CJ2A jeeps now retail from $12,500 to $20,000.”
UPDATE: Pics now provided. It appears worth a look.

“This 1946 willies CJ2A has been highly modified. It has had a new tub fabricated and stretched 28 inches as well as the frame being stretched. It has 3/4 ton Chevy truck axles geared to 5:13 ratio, a Sm 465 transmission with hydrolic clutch and a new 30 Pound clutch plate, and new clutch. It has 2 transfer cases, a Dana 203 in front of a Dana 205 with a triple levered cable shifter. A recently installed 4.3 Gm fuel injected engine, and power steering, tilt steering column, power brakes, air compressor, and disc brakes. A 3 link quarter elliptical floating pocket rear suspension and a 3 link coil front suspension. A Spooled Dana 60 rear Diff, and a Dana 44 front Diff and a ARB carrier. A wench, and a MB grill and head lights. There is a full cab, full cage roll bar, and costume rear gas tank. The rims are military Humvee bead locks, recentered to the Chevy bolt pattern, and has 37 inch Humvee tires with 95% tread all the way around. There are reinforced top rails in the tub at the top rails and door ways, as well as contoured skid rails built into the body at the rock line of the tub. I’ve spent over 500 hours fabricating this Jeep and and twice the asking price in expense. This vehicle is nearly re-completed, after the V6 engine upgrade, and the dual transfer case upgrade, but does need finishing.”
