This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Great Project vehicle to restore, 1948 Jeep Willys, working up till a couple of years ago. Needs motor overhaul. Has new clutch, one new front drive shaft. Have new master cylinder part.“

(01/24/2014) This looks pretty good, but the dress is covering quite a bit of the jeep.
“We are selling our 1948 Willys CJ2A. It runs very well and looks great! Every time we take it for a ride we get many waves and “thumbs up”. It was restored about thirteen years ago and won best in show last year at Berlins Drive in the 50’s car show. We just don’t have the time to enjoy it like we used to. This is a GREAT old Jeep! Thanks for looking.

Looks like $450 worth of value to me.
“I have a Willys (1948??) CJ for sale, with no title nor VIN. Was on a farm for decades. Being sold as parts only. Perhaps to support your restoration, trail rig? Hunting truck or gosh knows what! Either way, I want it gone and need the space, hence the super low price. Cash only, not selling it off bit by bit, what you see is what you get. Does not run, needs to be towed.”

Runs and plows.
“1948 willys cj2a with fisher plow. Runs great has electronic ignition. Needs break work. I’ve plowed with it for years. Plows great.”
Listed as a ’45, it looks more like a ’46.
“This is a rare 1945 Willys CJ2-A. The vehicle is in need of a full restoration. Engine turns over and will start just needs to be tuned up.”

(03/24/2014) It looks like the side of this melted.
“Re-Post. Titled 1946 Willys CJ2A.
4×4. Motor and transmission work great. Few cancer spots on frame were fixed. Needs a little work. Brake and rear lights wired. Windshield put it ( I have it.) Roll cage installed if wanted. Seats correctly installed. Needs new universal joint for front drive shaft. Done lots of work to it. New suspension in rear installed. Rear leafsprings installed in front. I have brand new leafs for front, just need 2 new brackets. New brakes all the way around. Drivable as is. We ride around the neighborhood all the time. Would be perfect for a farm vehicle, for parades, or around a small town with low speed limits. It is a 60hp 4 cylinder motor. Top speed around 55mph. Amazing low end power. Need to see in person. Very unique.”
