Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (05/14/2012) Normally I think flatties that are stretched in the middle look a little odd. However, this looks to me like a stretch well done. I like the price on this too.

Project and parts.
“I have a project for sale. 1948 CJ2A with title. New parts, rebuilt engine, transmission and transfer, new military tires with rims. Enough parts to almost build two jeeps. 1952 CJ3A is for parts only. Frames are in good condition, tubs need some welding but are usable. Extra l 134 engines and transfer cases included. Don’t have time for this project anymore.”

“Runs good, drives good flat head 4cly. 6volt
New brakes and wheel clynders has roll bar,bikini top, and soft top with doors. Without bows.
Tires have good tread. All fluids have been changed within the last four years.
Good clean title. New battery 8-14″

I can’t tell if it is a column shift or not. 14″ brake drums?
“1946 Willy’s Jeep. Come with hardtop. Engine runs. Need tire’s and brake work. Has not been registered since the late 90’s, (use on private land). Have the pink slip. All original but over size 14 inch brake drums on all 4 wheels. Have lots of extra part that I might be willing to through in for the right deal.”

“1947 CJ2A
Restoration project-Mostly original with very good body (ugly paint job), but floor pans are bad. Solid frame, all running gear present, fuel system issues, motor has run previously, but have not tried it in seven years. Very good original radiator. No seats, windshield frame needs work. Spare hood, spare tow bar, box of odds and ends, several windshield wiper motors, several spare carburetors, spare transfer case. Tires hold air and original vin is present. Garaged.”

5.38 gears and 11″ drum brakes
Needs new master cylinder before being drivable.
Still a project, needs some finishing.
Body in great shape.
