“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2a, civilian model, all original motor and running gear. Only $3000.00”
It doesn’t include the winch, but the winch is the focus of the picture . . .
“I have a 1947 flatfender “original” Willy’s Jeep, except of course for the engine it’s a 64′ 4 cylinder engine. The winch nor the white top doesn’t come with the Jeep. Looking to sell or trade, if it’s a vehicle you’re offering it’s would have to be made 50-state legal before it changes owners. I’m open to as old as 1992 with cash on your end, 2000 year model would be a fair trade. less then 150K miles. Please include picture of offer so I know you’re serious…”
UPDATE: Still Available
(02/19/2013) Includes an overdrive. No mention that it runs. No pics.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1750.
One runs and drives.
“I have three jeeps. One does run and I have been driving it around my property. It has the flathead, rebuilt carb, new fuel pump, it runs good and does not burn oil. The transmission works great and does not jump out of 2nd or 3rd. The t-case works fine. It needs body work and frame has some cracks and has been welded on. One of the other jeeps has the flathead and complete drivetrain. Engine turns over but I have not started it. The third jeep has no engine but is good for parts. I have one clear colorado title for one jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
(03/17/2013) The body appears to be a replacement. For some reason, it’s dented near the top of the dash. I’ve never seen that. It’s a no reserve auction starting at $200.
“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A
Titled as a 1951 (Can not guarantee the exact year) See the Vin number on the photo of the title. Might be able to look it up in a registry.
This Jeep was bought as a project about 10 years ago and do not have room to store it any longer. It has been sitting in California for the last 10 year. Purchased from a Farm in the Midwest. It sat in the barn untouched for 30 years. Was running 10 years ago but is not currently running now. Might just need a battery and a tune up to get it running. Brakes are bad and needs a full restoration. Would be a great project car as it has really good bones. There is some rust on the exterior and on the undercarriage but not that bad. Body is pretty straight.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
This looks good.

Under restoration 2000–2006, about 1000 miles on it since restoration. Located near Levenworth Kansas, can be seen by appointment.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2400.
(12/23/2012) It’s a pretty pricey project. The paperwork is missing, too.
“This is a 1949 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A. 4 Cylinder Flat, Engine was rebuild in 2002 (never driven since). The jeep is a nearly completed project with many original parts.
The following work has been done and up-front, I am a certified welder, metal fabrication journeyman / Blacksmith from Germany.
– Rebuild floor with proper tube- frame
– Rebuild bed with proper tube- frame
– Rebuild foldable Windshield, new glass and seals
– Built a 20 gal gas tank that goes across the entire jeep with barriers inside to avoid slushing. (toolbox from passenger seat was beyond repairs)
– Built Seat-mounts and purchased new Seats
– Custom Heavy Duty Bumpers
– Re-arched all four Leaf-springs
– Replaced all four shocks
– Lots of body work
New seats with heavy duty mounts. Custom bumpers front and back. Rebuild steering gear box. (still a huge play) Reinforcement and accentuation with diamond plate.
Repaired and reinforced frame where needed. Rebuild all four leaf springs to proper hight and arch. 4 new shocks, new wiper and rear lights. I have 4 fairly new rims that would replace the ones currently on the Jeep.
The Engine would start fine if a mechanic would spend an hour with it, since I have never touched it in 8 years. I also do not have paperwork for the Jeep anymore. I would be more than happy to pay the DMV fee for re-registration once the Jeep is sold.
I am selling this nice project Jeep, simply because I bought that prior to having Children and a House. I simply do not want to spend the time on something I would rarely use.”
