About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(08/08/2013) “1947 Willys Jeep
CJ2A Flat Fender, Buick V6 engine, good condition, Rubicon ready, skid plates, wench, roll bar, nurf barfs, full top with doors, bikini top, good paint & upholstery, great for hunting. See in Vallejo.”
It’s got a few upgrades, including (I think) the hudson steering upgrade.
“Willys in great shape. Inherited from 1st owner who bought it in 47 (first year civilian model). Mid 60’s upgrades: V6 Buick, larger drum brakes, “modern steering setup”, locking hubs, Warn overdrive, custom made two door aluminum cab and mounted tool book, repainted original red. Other accessories, roll-bar, tow-bar, aux. gas can removable rack, “dash board” enclosed gun-rack/storage area. Mid 2005 a McQ High school shop class upgrade began, including rebuild of engine at AIMS Machine Shop, transmission pulled and all gaskets replaced, new alternator, starter, water pump, boiling out radiator and fuel tank, total professional rewiring, new “original equip” seats (all three), shocks and a lot of elbow grease. Still needs windshield replacement (gaskets in tool box), exhaust system replacement, new tires, and speedometer repair. This has never been in an accident and garaged most of it’s 67 years! It’s not a modern 4-wheeler I didn’t like going over 45 even in overdrive. It’s nice and narrow and climbs anything you can imagine, Granny is ridiculously low.”
“Willys CJ2a with F134 overhead valve engine. The carb is from an old Falcon and so no hole has been cut into the hood. This Jeep is fairly complete and ran when parked (at the time it needed an accelerator pump in the carb). This has had some metal repaired and will need additional work and tlc but can be run as is. Original L134 type engine is available for $500.00.”
It’s a project. I have great memories of Hayden in the summer.
“1948 Willys Jeep Cj2A for parts or restoration. I picked this up for a restoration project over 20 years ago and still haven’t gotten around to it. Someone else might as well have some fun with it.”
Seller thinks this is a steal, but this is clearly a parts jeep. Of course, not used in WWII.
“1948 Willys Jeep running gear. Has everything but engine, grille and radiator. Comes with 2 sets of fenders, 2 hoods, and 2 windshields, and 2 sets of tires. All are original parts. The extra hood and set of fenders are from a 1943 Willys Jeep. All sheet metal needs repaired. The frame appears to be in good condition. These Jeeps are beautiful when restored and can go for big bucks! This is a steal! These Jeeps were the common vehicle used in WWII! Wanting $500 obo and will entertain any trades. Prefer texting and emails. Thanks!”
“Jeep is in parts. Frame has been restored. Engine/trans/transfer case are sitting on a moving dolly. Wheels are painted harvest tan with new non directional tires. Body is there but needs major work (the tub is a frankenstein of two jeeps). Extra parts come with the jeep include extra engine block, generator, springs (I think to a cj5), and whatever else is sitting with it. Needs someone to finish the restoration. Bill of sale only. $1600 OBO”
“One of a kind 1948 Willys Jeep Frame off restoration New body and paint Lockers front and rear No rust Less than 5000 mis on motor New top with doors Heater Good condition”
