About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed at $2900. This appears to have a VEC body.
“Cool Classic 1947 Jeep Willys 4×4, 4 cyl flathead motor, 3 speed manual tranny, its all there and it runs and drives. Good for woods or farm! Needs finishing but its all there!!!!”
Seller will not break this up. It is a package sale.
“I have a 1946 CJ2a (#77xxx) for sale that was purchased as a parts jeep for its L134 engine. Unfortunately the block has a crack that probably isn’t repairable and I have moved on to another engine. The previous owner had disassembled the jeep and grown tired of the project. I have grouped this jeep along with a 69′ buick 225 and a spare Dana 41 rear axle as a package deal. (seller provides more details in the ad).”
“I have a 1948 willys jeep. I bought this jeep last august to fix up and drive and as a hunting wagon. the jeep does run and their is no slack in the transmission, I have started it and drove around my pasture. The tires are in good shape, the slave cylinder is froze up and the fuel tanks probably need to be replaced. But overall it’s a very nice jeep. Wouldn’t take much to fix it up and make a very nice lil vechile.”
I love look of the motor, but less so the hole in the hood. This includes a winch. This would go quickly on the mainland.
“1942 willys jeep 4 cyl over head.. fully rebuilt engine webber carb 32 36 .. headers. with flow master. electronic distributor… winch … electric front driver seat… cd player, electric fuel pump.. custom rear bumper and tire carrier.. bikini top… aluminum rims, all new breaks, wheel cylinders master break cylinders,,, all new steering parts…. change all lug nuts to regular right hand thread…. every thing works all taxes and saftey good till nex year..

No brakes and the drain holes have been patched, but it runs.
“1946 Willys CJ2a…almost all of the original parts are there (missing the original gauge cluster and windshield has been replaced) with the body in fair shape. I have an old Oregon title to it which could possible be used to get a new one. It had been used as a hunting vehicle on a lease for several years. Ready for a restore!
Pros
Engine runs
Transmission shifts fine
Transfer case works good
Hubs lock and unlock as they should
Most original parts there
Cons
Master cylinder is froze up, so no brakes
Engine smokes”
The motor runs. This might have some parts value if nothing else. The body has been patched.
“I am selling my Jeep because I just have not had time to play with it. The Jeep does run and has a flat head 4 cylinder motor. Jeep is not drive-able due to the linkage is not connect at this time. I have to many original extra parts to list and all are included. Floor pans and rust on the side of the body has already been repaired. For the age of the Jeep it is in pretty good shape. It is missing a windshield. To the best of my knowledge everything else is present. I am asking $1200 or best offer. Please call me if you have additional questions”
(02/28/2013) This doesn’t look like a ’46 to me. There may be value here.
“46′ CJ2A, in rough shape. Tub is shot.
Some extra parts, some parts missing. Rolls O.K.
Engine and transmission/transfer-case are present. Engine is out on a dolly.
Engine is frozen. Two grills, three extra rims. Extra hood. All the tires are bad.
Might be good for parts, sold “as is-where-is”, “bill-of-sale”, no title.
Cash only.”
“This a project that I have no time to finish, It is a early civilian cj2a with all the correct rare parts to make it orginal. I have nos keyed coil, tailight, and horn all correct to this jeep and vin number. It is a totally rebuilt drivable chassie. The motor, tranny and transfer are all rebuilt. I have a very solid body with the floors cut out to go with it, I also have the floor pans to be welded in.”
