“47 willys jeep. Runs and drives. Clean title. Needs cosmetics”
Look solid, though diamond plating has been added in places.
“1948 WILLYS 4×4 4 cylinder 3 speed manual transmission. Jeep runs great.Body is in great shape. Has new brake lines, master cylinder and brakes. New water pump. New electric fuel pump new fuel lines and carb. New gauges that all work. All lights work. Has seat belts installed in front. Tires and rims are new less than 50 miles on them.Has a bikini top. I have the soft top frame and doors but not the soft top. This Willys is a fun jeep to drive draws a lot of attention were ever it goes.”
Sort of runs. Lots of diamond plating added. It’s missing knobs on the shift levers.
“Selling a 46 willys. Has all original drivetrain and motor to that year. runs with some TLC. it has been sitting for a while. has a 4cyl flathead w/ willys Stamp”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600
It’s a project with surface rust at the very least.
“I’ve got a barn find 1947 (according to the S/N) Willis CJ-2A that needs a new home. It will need a full restoration or would be great for parts for that CJ you are building now. The 4cyl engine does turn over but will need a full rebuild, the transmission and transfer case are still in the vehicle and appear to work but I’m sure they need new seals and to be cleaned up. You will want to buy a new tub as this one is rusty. The hood, tailgate, front fenders and grill are all usable. I do not have a title, the former owner got it out of Louisiana and could not find the title when I bought it from him.
I have the seats, windshield frame and all the other parts to assemble the Jeep loaded on my trailer but not shown in the pictures below.
This is a project and will need a complete rebuild before it can go anywhere. Take a look at the pictures and see if you are ready to take this project on. If you are reading this, it is still for sale.”
Only has 136K miles! lol.
“This is an original 1948 Jeep CJ2a with only 136k original miles,….this jeep has not run since 1990 and needs a complete overhaul, the body has rust and repairs and the engine although not frozen hasn’t been started is 25 years…tires are dry rotted but hold air..the jeep is complete, all there including the windshield that the glass is cracked, but the frame is not bent, cracked or broken and has never been repaired…..clear Texas title,”
All original? I think not. This has a CJ-5 body melded to the rear of the body.
“1946 willys jeep orginal everything jus needs restored in good shape for the year 1000obo”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $350
There’s some value in the rims at the very least.
“Willys CJ2A project/parts
The engine is wrapped up in the black plastic to keep water out. Do not know condition. Was pulled when I bought it. Body could probably be salvaged. No front fenders or windshield frame. Nice set of wheels. rear axle that came with it is from a CJ5. Both seat frames are there.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4200
(06/04/2014) The front bumper seems to be hanging a little low.
“You won’t find many 1946 Jeeps in great condition like this one! It has been restored and kept inside a garage. I’ve been told by a Jeep expert that it’s a rare find. A JEEP COLLECTOR’S DREAM! Original motor, too…So, don’t miss out on this Jeep, as it’s not often you find one like this. You can see it by appointment and contact me by email. Price is $4200.”
UPDATE: Priced dropped to $500.
(02/12/2014) Not sure just how much value is here.
“I bought a 46 willys and wanted to turn it into a rat rod but I am also a college student and the financials I needed weren’t coming along so time to part with it. It has front and rear original Dana axles with tires. I already grinded off the bolts because I was going to do a frame off restoration and that’s about as far as I got. The axles alone are worth 400 but I can’t do anything with it so first come first serve. Would make a great project for someone.”
This jeep has been listed in multiple locations across the US. No pics and little description provided.
