About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This willys jeep has an all alumium body which will never rust or corrod and since it is made out of alumium it is a lite ride. The body is on an s-10 sand blasted frame with a 96′ wheelbase. It is 2 wheel drive with a 305ci v-8 in it, it has a 30 over Big cam with a 700 R4 trany behind it. It has 13,500 miles on the engine and tranny, was never used for drag racing. It gets around 20 miles per gallon on the highway.”
“1946 willys jeep, new body, seats, new from frame up. Motor runs good but needs rebuilt. Original miles unknown. 16″ x7.00 n/d tires. Great restore start.”
(12/16/2012) Looks like a nice rig. Lots of detail pics. However, a variety of minor updates keep it from looking “like it was in 1948 from the factory”.
“This is a rare, 1948 Jeep CJ2A Willys that will take you to the car shows to win trophies or will take you across the desert. ONLY 570 MILES SINCE FULL RESTORATION. Jeep is new.
This jeep went through a full documented, nut and bolt, frame off restoration in 2008 including:
-Rebuilt and restored “GO-DEVIL” L Head motor.
-Rebuild of the original manual transmission.
-Body was taken down to bare metal, minor rust repaired with metal, sandblasted, primed then painted. Repainted by shop (not a home job).
-Frame was dipped, coated with POR15 and painted.
-New bolts and hardware throughout.
-Brand new high end soft top.
-New brakes all around.
-New weatherstripping and rubber.
-4×4 System gone through and restored.
-Restored (Media Blasted and painted) original Rims.
-Restored Interior and painted throughout. New custom seat belts.
-Powder coated bumpers and step.
-Custom Bumper with Trailer Hitch (Never used)
In Full Disclosure:
-There is a spot on the fender where there is some lacquer / clear cracking in the paint (See pictures). No dings, dents or other imperfections.
Pictures, journal entries, receipts, Appraisal, etc all included with sale. This jeep is laser straight and looks like it was in 1948 from the factory (Except color, fancy soft top and seat belts). Everything works. Hop in and drive.”
This jeep is a few hours south of me. ONly one pic, but it looks good. I’m surprised the windshield wipers are mounted above the windshield.
“Has nice top and tires, runs/drives good. Engine was converted to Ford 4-cyl. Sorry no restoration or maintenance history but it’s a nice little Jeep! Serious buyers email or call/text 208 830 1425.”
“ly restored Willys Jeep. It is a 1949 model and completely functional. It has BFG Mud Terrains, 4X4, Winch. It was a complete frame of restoration and ready to go.
Call/text 505-515-7786”
“46 willys for sale had a 302 v8 ford in it,has been removed, lots of parts included, call for details.Clear Colo. title. calls only 970 345 2555 Bryan….Would also trade for a good factory built car trailer…?”
“I have a 46 Willy’s jeep for sale, I am asking $2000 or best offer if you are interested please make me an offer, but no low ballers, that means please do not call me and offer me $500, it is worth more than that. Please do not call or text telling me what rough shape it is in, I am aware of the work that it needs.
I am not in a hurry to sell this jeep, and would be fine keeping it, but I do not have the time for it and it is just taking up space. I would rather sell it so that it does not just sit and rot.
It has a clean title, current registration, and it runs, but it is a project. The Jeep has full soft top and bikini top.”
