About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The rear cargo bed appears patched or may just be protected. This may be worth a look.
“1947 CJ2 Reconditioned engine with reground crankshaft, new bearings, new valves, piston rings, seals and gaskets. All new ignition parts. Converted to twelve volts. Invested over a thousand dollars in new parts. Cash price $2.950.”
UPDATE: Eric got a pic of this jeep. He reports, it is a ’48 CJ2a with Chevy 283. Front axle, transmission (original, I think), brakes upgraded or rebuilt about 20 years ago. 12 volt. Not driven in 10 years, outside only 1 year. Will need tires, battery. Very nice man named Greg.

This doesn’t look in good shape. It’s missing a motor.
“1948 Jeep CJ 2 – Stock #1499
Good one to rebuild. This is a CJ 2 with the 4 speed transmission and 4 wheel drive. Motor is out but is included as is the steering column. Has some floor rust and cowl rust but very repairable. Good North Dakota Title and delivery is available.”
I like the rims. This might be worth a look if the body is as advertised.
“1948 Willys Jeep , body is in great shape, very rare find, has a buick VS motor and does need some work, great collectors car, call with an offer , would accept a trade”
German made Pinto 2000 CC engine? Looks more like a Ford Pinto 2000 CC engine to me. How about that updated side step, too?
“Willys Jeep- original non restored condition except has been converted to Pinto power- 2000cc German made engine. Runs and drives, but needs work. Needs lights, windshield, bell crank, brakes sticky,”
It looks like the firewall has been fiberglassed? Or, maybe that’s just paint?

” Up for sale is my Willys flat fender Jeep. I’m not sure of the year; my amateur research shows the body maybe 1953 or around that time. The chassis appears to be maybe from 1970-1973 due to the fact that it has power steering and full spring shackles. This vehicle has been used on my property for the last 10 years, and has been a most reliable tool for the tasks I needed done here. It has no paperwork, and is really the culmination of several vehicles. It has a Chevy 4cyl engine; I think a 2.5 liter. It has electronic ignition and a new carbureter. There are two batteries; one for the chassis and one deep cycle for the 8000lb Smittybilt winch. They are switchable, so you can use either one or both together depending on your needs. I added new military leaf springs ( 12 leaf M38) at all four corners, and a limited slip in the rear differential with 4.88:1 gears. It has brand new tires with less than 1 mile on them, new brakes, new GM internally regulated alternator, and recored radiator. Sorry for the long post but wanted to include as much as possible so phone time isn’t wasted”
(10/18/2012) This has a whole bunch of updates and runs on propane, but still uses an early (if not the original) flathead motor.
