This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/02/2014) No engine or title. Great project.
“WILLYS JEEP CJ 2 A & ID #34134—This is a retired fire department Jeep probably used for grass fires. I removed the front platform and seat as you can see. The rear extension is also removable. Odometer shows 53,000 miles. NO TITLE or ENGINE everything looks original. $1275.00 CASH buys it. I was told that it probably is a 1946, but you decide. Thanks.”

“I have owned the Jeep for about a year and just have not had the time to restore this project. This is a project, I have done some work on it, new electric fuel pump, new gas tank and fuel lines. It is an original flat head engine. I have started the engine once and it seemed to run out OK. If you have any questions please give a call. I have TITLE in hand. $1200.00 OBO. I can deliver if necessary, for the price of fuel, locally only”

(05/05/2014) Doesn’t run. Listed as a 1950, but it looks like a 2A to me.
“This jeep can be used for parts or restored. Missing a few things, but 85-90% there. Engine does not run. Small rust holes here and there, not serious. All running gear complete,rolls so it is towable.odometer shows 70k”
