About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

(04/28/2012) The body may be solid, but it’s been patched along the driver’s side.
“1948 Willy’s CJ2A Jeep. Needs head gasket, which is easy to replace on Flathead 4-cyl. I just have no time. Body is solid with some rust, which is expected for a vehicle that was built in 1948. 4wd works great. Soft top setup. E-mail for more details or if you would like to stop by and take a look. Located in SW Roanoke City.”
“I have a 1946 Jeep Willys it’s a project Jeep. it has a Chevrolet 4.3 Vortec motor also has the original t90 3 speed transmission and twin stick transfer case. brand new clutch kit. I have done a disc brake conversion to the front also have an extra set of axles complete front and rear. things I don’t have to complete the job or a fuel tank, brake lines, the steering needs to be finished, exhaust, seats need to be installed. the body is a little rough too.the frame has been sand blasted and primered.”
Adam bought himself a Willys truck, so he is selling his CJ-2A. It has a buick v6, power steering and brakes, and brand new tires and rims. You can contact Adam at: adam1 at sonic.net

(09/22/2012) I have a rock crawler made out of a 1948 Willy’s tub and frame wrapped around a 350 Chevy out of an early 70’s Camaro or Corvette.
The specs:
350 Chevy with new motor mounts. Runs great its an 010 block really sought after lots of power with a Quadrajet carb, doesn’t cut out when on a steep incline.
-Custom headers with adjustable back pressure Supertrapp exhaust.
-37″ iroks, 85-90% tread
-Full PSC hydro steer with dual 8″ ram. Has entire PSC kit with reservoir. Only 4 trips since new.
-Dana 44 wagoneer axles, locked. Front axle just rebuilt. Disc brakes in front, recent disc conversion in rear with painted calipers. Only 4 trips since new.
-4 linked rear, 3 linked front. 16″ nitro shocks in rear.
-5 point Crow seats and harnesses
-Custom roll cage with tonneau cover
-4 speed tranny and NP 205 transfer case
-Cool thing with it being a 48 means it can be registered as a street rod and that makes it street legal.
-Have Idaho title in my name in hand.
-Only possible trade for 4×4 cummins.”
UPDATE: This popped up for sale last night for only $800! I knew it would go quickly, so I notified an Idaho reader about it late last night. He called this morning (first person to call) and had a deal worked out to pick it up tomorrow. The reader called at lunch to ask an additional question, only to learn the seller sold it out from underneath him to someone else. I hope the buyer knows what they got.
The serial number (verified by a photo that I didn’t download) was #10300.
“This is a very early 1945 Willys CJ2A Jeep. The VIN is 10300 which makes it number 300!! Transmission is froze-up. Would be a great project.”
