This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Early 1946 cj2a Willy’s in very good shape has had a partial restoration a few years ago. Some of the work includes painted, seat covers, new top, new transmission to make it a 3 speed on the floor but have all part to return it back to 3 on the collom, also new gas tank, brakes and wheel cylinders. Original go devil engine in great working order.”

“For Sale: 1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A on a CJ5 frame? Also comes with Dana axles and 225 V6 Buick engine. This is a very neat looking beast that could be loads of fun as well as a real eye catcher. I purchased this as a project to upgrade with my son, but find myself with too much else going on. This is drive ready and most everything works, but it is clearly not a highway vehicle. Looks solid. It has been painted khaki green.
“Nice 1948 CJ2a for sale! Original L134 flathead engine and drivetrain. Engine runs good and 4×4 works perfectly and has Selectro hubs on the front axle for 2wd or 4wd driving. It also has a full “family cage” to protect front and rear passengers.
Since buying the jeep I have;
painted it Khaki green
converted from 6volt generator to 6volt alternator
installed a 6volt Optima battery
installed a new starter switch and correct 6volt starter cables
upgraded to 11″ brakes
replaced all gauges
installed correct seat frames with new, Willys correct, seat cushions
recored the radiator
resealed the gas tank
rebuilt the transmission
changed from the original CJ2a windshield to a CJ3a windshield
added a spare tire carrier
bought 5 new rims and tires
installed a sunshade’

“Hello, I have a 1947 Jeep Willys CJ-2A for sale. It has a 225 Buick v6 and a built chevy th350 trans, automatic, has tub rust pretty bad in places, started to weld in some panels, rear floor area is great solid original steel, tail gate not bad, frame is rock solid hardly any rust on it, manual lock out hubs. Runs very well. Needs restoration it’s a project but better than most Jeeps 67 years old.”
