About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Looks like some rot near the front fender. Probably hasn’t run in a while.

“This Jeep has been around in the family for years, has originals parts but outer body needs some work. Definitely a restoration project I would think, but everything still there. Is 4 wheel drive. It has 2-5 Gallon Gas Cans, Front mounted Winch, Soft cover with doors, Dual Gas Tanks, Oversize radiator, Center Mount double rifle Rack and Front row bar in and hitch in rear This would be great for someone who loves these kind of cars because they are collectibles. Has awesome engine, 327 bored over to 331, compression pistons 10 1/2 to 1, 8 cylinders, has hot rod engine, The jeep is mechanically sound. Low, low gears for climbing. It has been sitting for years, so it will need some work to start it up I would think. The drive frame is fine, engine frame, axle, etc. are all good. $2500”

It runs, but has a gasket leak. Unclear which gasket.
“I have a 1948 willys Jeep Cj2A it was my first restoration project, completed two years ago drove it opening weekend then found a leak in a gasket. Parked it and drove it for the first time last December. Still Leaks, no brakes, however NEW gauges, wire harness, gas tank, tires, powder coated rims, battery, and lots of other stuff.”
“1948 cj2a jeep runs good drives but needs breaks. IS NOT STREET LEGAL. To make it street legal it would need turn signals, windshield wipers, and seat belts This didn’t come with any of the above and that’s why it doesn’t have them. It needs some body work but isn’t horrible, ive bought a lot of new parts for it to make it a trail runner ie…. bigger rims and tires but will come with originals as well, roll bars bikini top with everything needed to mount, fog lights brush guard, street legal windshield glass which has been installed, shackle lift kit new bushings for leaf springs, and im sure im forgetting some other parts. anyway would be a really nice and easy father and son project and once breaks are fixed and street legal then a nice daily driver(easy on gas) if not familiar with cj2a think WW era jeeps that’s what it looks like.”
“I have a ’46 CJ2a, column shift, body-colored headlight trim. Complete minus body tub. Tub was total junk, so I got rid of it, keeping the grill and windshield. All column shift parts are there, seat frames, extra wheels. Restoration project.”
” have a 1946 jeep (first year of consumer jeeps) that needs a restoration. It does not run and was parked for years as the clutch was sticking. It does roll and steer to move. The frame looks good and the body has had new metal welded in. The jeep has the original motor (flathead 4) and drive train (3 speed). It shows 13,000 original miles. These are getting more difficult to find to restore. I would like to trade it for an enduro bike, 4 wheeler, jeep wrangler, or maybe something else motorized. You can always ask if I am interested. Thanks for looking.”
