This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The data plates might be the best part of this jeep.
“Here is a 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A that is shot but has some useable parts. Serial number 28759. The tub is shot. The frame is shot. The engine is frozen solid. I managed to remove 2 spark plugs and the other 2 broke off in the head. I filled the cylinders with ATF. Then my dumbass broke off an “easy out” in one of the plug holes. Now the head will have to come off to be repaired. 🙁 I do have the radiator for the jeep and it’s included in the sale. I do not have a title for the Jeep. All the data plates are there and match each other. Windshield does fold down. The tires are all 7.00-16. There are no tie rods on the front wheels. The trans shifts between 2nd and 3rd gear. But not between reverse and 1st. The transfer case levers both move. I will also give the winning bidder a hood, Grill and 2 fenders from a CJ3B. All beat up but better than nothing. ;)”

“NEW PLUGS, WIRES, BRAKES, WHEEL CYLINDERS. JEEP RAN 2 YEARS AGO WHEN TAKEN APART. MOSR PARTS ARE HERE. SEATS MISSING, 4 SPARE JEEP WHEELS. NO TITLE CAN BE BONDED FOR ABOUT $100.00. HAVE A NEW BLUE SOFT TOP THAT CAN GO WITH IT. $1000.00 O.B.O.”

“I have some original parts for sale 4cyl flat head motor ready for rebuild or buy whole jeep”
Does the underside of that top someone connect to the windshield? It’s not clear to me how it attaches.
“Jeep is in good condition; engine was rebuilt a few years back and runs strong, clutch and drive train have been gone though and there are no leaks. Body was worked on by the previous owner and looks good. Frame is in good condition.

These poor jeeps have been sitting a while. In the rear cargo area of the jeep with wheels it looks like there might be some type of PTO or draw bar attachment. The jeep without wheels has a rear PTO.
“I have two Willys jeeps for sale . The jeep that has the motor and transmission parts scattered inside is a 1948 the other is a 1946 and has a title. The 48 also has a power takeoff attached ,the engagement lever and drive shaft seemed to be missing. The 46 jeep had the motor rebuilt the same year that I parking it, approximately 12 years ago. The transmission and motor both ran very well . The wiring burned up after putting an eight volt battery in it and just never got around to rewire it. The buyer will be responsible for removal, I will be glad to help.”

“Willys 1947 Civilian Jeep, rare 99% original, 39,000 miles, VIN# 152503, good box and tub, original top, red rims, military tires, gray body, options: hi-low plow, jump seat, original jack, grill cover, hitch. Very good original condition.”

(12/03/2012) The rear of this has been patched. It looks like the windshield may have a patch in the frame.
