“My 1946 CJ2A serial # 57110 was purchased new by a farmer in a neighboring town and used on the farm until the belt broke. When I bought it, the broken belt was still hanging on it. It had 12168 miles on it. It had been parked under a shed with the front end exposed to weather. The front suffered a lot of rust, but the rear half was in good shape. I rebuilt the engine because the valve guides were pushed out when I turned the engine. Number 4 cylinder was badly pitted. I had a sleeve installed. All pistons were unharmed and were reused. I installed all new bearings and seals, and it runs like a top. All brake components except linings were also replaced. I drive it a few times a year and it runs very nice at 45-50 mph.
This Willys has the agrijeep package with the governor, HD radiator, PTO, hydraulic pump ( not installed ) and Monroe lift. I also think I have a belt accessory attachment for it. There are several other items, including a rear seat, I have accumulated that I cannot remember now. It has never been wet, except when I washed it one time, since I finished it. It can use a little TLC from shop wear.
I had a custom wiring harness like the original made and added wiring for signal lights. It has the original 6 volt electrical system.
I am asking $15,000.00 for it. I got this estimate from a person who organized a Willys show 3 years ago. As I get older, I have decided to get rid of TOYS. If you are interested in a quality CJ, this is it.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600.
It’s a project. It has three data plates, so this is probably a 1946.

(10/10/2013) The body isn’t the prettiest, but underneath it sounds like a fully capable trail jeep. It includes extra parts.

“Guys, I have up for sale my Willys Jeep, which is my favorite vehicle of all time. Like the jeeps of the WWII era, this Jeep is the small 4X4 (w/lockout hubs), with the original drivetrain, including the 4cyl L134 flathead engine (runs like new), and 3sp transmission with low and high range. All of this works perfectly. I drive this Jeep on the highway, often 75 miles or more through the country to take care of property that belongs to my mother. The steering is good and tight as is all the suspension. It has one-month-old tires and a very good spare. All the gauges and lights work great. The brakes are all new, wheel cylinders and shoes so it stop very good. It has a good clutch and horn. It is now 12 volt, converted over when it was restored several years back, with a modern alternator. The Jeep has a new convertible top (and doors as shown) only a few months old. It has a great original steering wheel. It has a very good digital radio mounted under the dash and good speakers mounted under the front seats. It has electric wipers and a seat for the back that is very good like the front. New cargo mat in the rear and new mats in the front. The original heater works great, too with hi and low blower speeds. I guess you understand by now that I have this vehicle ready for warmer weather. And, now my whole life plan has changed and I’ll have to let it go. I will be moving to Brazil to volunteer at a Christian project to house street kids near Sau Paulo. Needing all the financial support I can get, I am pretty much selling everything I do not absolutely have to keep. That’s why I am listing the Willys. By the way, It will come with a nice high-dollar aluminum, quick attach tow bar that makes it a dream to tow. Well, thanks for looking. I will be happy to provide additional information and I hope the right person gets the Jeep to enjoy for years to come. God bless.”
UPDATE: SOLD. Was listed at $600.
