“Sold by licensed RI dealer. Beautiful frame off, body off, nut and bolt restoration, many many new parts. Jeep shows to be in very much like new condition. Every system and component has been restored. Minor flaws only. Transmission will need attention however. Borg Warner T-90 gets stuck in second gear. Good opportunity for someone. For Sale: One of a Kind 1947 Willy’s WWII Military Jeep (CJ-2A)
This Jeep has been carefully rebuilt from the ground up over 3 years by my father, a retired certified ASEA mechanic. Starting from a sandblasted frame, new-off-shelf (N.O.S) parts were used whenever possible. Every piece has been carefully rebuilt and reassembled – you won’t find a cleaner, or more authentic rebuild of a 1947 Willy’s. Lots of fun to take off-road, or cruise around town with the windshield down. See below for details on each component. Thanks!

Jeff forwarded this non-running CJ-2A listed as a ’42.

“1942 Ford Script tub on a ’47 CJ2A frame and motor. The hood number is an educated estimate appropriate for an early GPW based on reference materials.
* New brake systems: rebuilt master cylinder, wheel cylinders, all new steel lines, flex hoses, and shoes/hardware.
* New distributor, cap, rotor, points, condenser, ignition coil, spark plug wires, spark plugs.
* New Solex carb.
* New wiring harness. ALL NEW WIRING. Everything works the way it’s supposed to.
* Lots of misc.: Horn, new gas tank sump well and all new fuel lines, fuel filter (correct type), frame bump-stops, glove box door data plates, re-packed wheel bearings, new oil filter housing, new black out lights, tail lights, light switch, ALL NEW GAUGES, hand brake works, dash lights are correct, ignition. switch correct, new glass for windshield frame, F-script on most major parts, NEW SHOCKS, & more….
This is a turn-key restoration. The tub is still rough in spots but it is an original Ford script – VERY RARE tub. Perfect for re-enactors. There is a summer top for it as well.
Asking $15,000. Runs like new and very spirited.
Serious inquiries only. Can deliver locally within reason. Jeep is in NW suburbs of Chicago.”
