About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
It runs and drives. Looks like some damage on the passenger side.

“I have a 1946cj2a Willys jeep. It is licensed and insured/tagged. I use it in parades and on the farm to move my log splitter. It is not a show car/ I use it and drive it regularly. It is all orginal. I have upgraded to 12 volt and put a electronic distributer (no Points) other than that it is stock. It has a brand new complete rebuilt 12 volt starter. Like new tires. All lights work, all gauges work, no wipers (easy fix) just have not had time. I also have a original hard top that needs to be reworked, it has the doors also. A fresh reworked radiator. Runs good 50 miles per hour uphill down hill or flat land. E-brake works parking and brake lights work. The only thing wrong with this Willys is a leak in one seal on the transmission, I have to add transmission fluid twice a year. If you are interested let me know , might even trade for something? I have owned this jeep around 5 yrs and have a updated title off of the orginal. This jeep is all legal with insurance 10.00 a month with full coverage. E-mail or call 870-213-5332 if no answer leave message and a return phone number, I will call back same day.. I have lots more pics if you wish I can email them to anyone who wants to look. Thanks for looking.”
Mark just posted this over at sellajeep.com. It’s listed as a 1951 CJ-2A, so either the year or model is wrong.
“This Jeep was used to pick up parts for a local garage. It has its last inspection sticker on the windshield. There are 45,300 original miles on the engine. It was restored by a certified auto mechanic. It has a new tub, brake system, five new tires. Seats were redone by a local upholstery shop—and the heater works!
“Very clean 1946 Willys Jeep, 327 Chevy motor, Dana 44 with locker in rear. Dana 27 upfront. Dana 18 transfercase adapted to 350 turbo trans.
4 wheel disc breaks with SS break lines. All new springs & shocks. New wiring harness and guages. Power steering. New tires and rims.
Satin black paint job. $8000.00 OBO cash.”
This looks very nice, though the drain hold near the step looks filled in, so I’d check out the body closely.
“1948 Willys jeep–IMMACULATE condition. New tires, shocks and bikini top. All original under the hood. I’m selling the vehicle because my new house doesn’t have adequate garage space to properly store the vehicle. I have $6000 in the vehicle but am selling it for $5000. This is a firm price so only call if you are serious. My cell is 318-617-4716.”
Mitch spotted this jeep and asked my opinion. I said that someone lazily painted everything red — the frame, the hmbs, the bolts, and more — which usually suggests that someone was simply trying to cover what is there (rust, dirt, etc). I also suspect that underneath the diamond plating in the back are holes or rust or something. It looks like there is some denting on the driver rear quarter panel, but that could be an optical illusion.”
Here’s another one Mitch spotted. The paint is faded and their is some rust along the real tailgate. I’m surprised to see a pintle on the back of this also.
“1946 Willys Jeep CJ 2A-4 cylinder-3 Speed Trans-Original motor and Trans-New Tubes and Tires-New Roof-Runs Great!!!”
