About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Box job, complete 1947 CJ2A willys jeep mostly apart, with pinto 4 cyl. engine, extra bodies, frames, transmission, it has a metal half cab, and the original flat head 4 cyl. engine. I’m asking $1500.oo or OBO. Call 406-239-6367.”
This has been parked for 18 Years. Possibly a VEC Body.
“Was parked about 18 years ago due to: Leaking rear main seal, poor/no brakes, and finally a broken ignition wire. Has been waiting patiently for resto since. Early and rare tub with leftover war stampings with axe and shovel relief. Willys stamped hood, correct and original windshield frame, and tailgate. 12V. It wants a complete resto but could be going down the road without a huge effort. Rusted and patched up many time in the past 65 years… It will need trailerd home.
$2000 or similar trade for: Honda/Yamaha Utility 4 wheeler or Toyota 4×4 that is not beat and rusted away.”
The body is rough. The seller is a bit off on his windshield analysis.
“I have a 1948 Willys jeep for sale. This is the model with the P.T.O.. Mechanically its very good, body wise its rough. The motor, transmission, transfer case, front and rear ends have all been rebuilt and only used for snow plowing since. I have the orignal 1948 plow too. The windshield is from a 1950. This was a upgrade at the time as the 48 had a split windshield. I also have the frame for the orignal half top (comes down behind the seat so you can still use the box). There’s a box of extra parts that will go with it too. $1300. firm”
(04/05/2011) Here’s a CJ with a variety of upgrades.
“3.8 Buick V6, 33 X 12.5 X 15 Tires, 5.36 Gears, Muncy 4 speed transmission, 16 Gallon fuel cell, Warn full floating axel kit, Lockright in rear, Front disc brakes, Pro Racing seats with 5 point harness capabilities, NEW 8000 pound winch, Full top (black)& bikini top (tan), Set of 16.50 rear Paddle tires included (only used three times), NO RUST, Near perfect body with one small dent (jeep vs tree…tree almost won). Same owner for 20 years. Always garaged. Dad sold his jeep, so nobody to play with & family has far outgrown this toy with 5 kids, so we haven’t taken it out playing in two years (just out of the garage for a stroll around the park from time to time)”
“Running, drivable willys jeep. No title. Originally bought it in southern MO for 800$. New tires, dist cap, wires, coil, and alt. It came comverted to 12v. Original flat head 4 cyl and drivetrain. D18 transfer case T90 trans. D27 front axle and D35 rear (I think). My dog tore the ugly van seats it came with but you should be able to mount any seat from anything. No winshield glass or gas tank (I was using a coffee can). Radiator needs repaired, a seam poped on the top so it will hold water until it gets too hot then it will boil out, but it gives a good 20 minute run before that happens. Needs wired, I have an electric ignition for it that is a direct replacement for the points/condincer plate. This jeep is so much fun to drive. All gears engage and disengage, the 3 speed trans and four hi/low/2 wheel high/low along with the lockout hubs, has good off road tires which hold air all winter and we can drive it right up on to your trailer. Can be hauled for a fee. Ill post my phone number tomorrow buy ill answer guestions through email.”
“Here is a 1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep with a chevy 327 (engine #3782870 62-67) with an affenhauer style tranny adapter. Original T-90A transmission. Have all the parts that I know of. Hood, seats, gas tank windshield, tailgate, grill, and a few extra parts. Hasn’t been registered since 1966 and stored inside since then. New floors had been started. Body a little rough, but it is almost 70 years old. Please email and I will get back as soon as I can. Can deliver in redding area if needed.”

The windshield suggests this might be a VEC. Looks like there is plenty of value. Note that the pics are two years old.
