UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.
It’s a lefty. Besides a PTO, this appears to have a very practical parking brake solution. Isn’t that a DJ-5 brake?
“1948 Classic Willy’s Jeep…original 4 cylinder engine with a new carb…runs well…needs brakes and TLC…great restoration project. I just don’t have the time for the project. Stored indoors…previous owner modified the suspension, wheels and tires, added a roll-bar, rear seat and tailgate extension, and tow bar…With some brake and electrical work on the lights, she would be a great off-roader…or restore her to military glory as was my plan…”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3400.
Runs and drives.
“1947 CJ2a in really good original condition! Last owner did a lot of work…body off clean to up of the frame, body work, 12 volt conversion with all new gages, carb.,new clutch, ring gear, mini 12 volt starter! 4cyl engine, 3 speed trans! Receipts for work the previous owner did and I have the paperwork for the clutch, ring gear and starter!
Four wheel drive and hi/lo works fine! Original 16 inch Willys wheels!
Overall ready to work or play…restore…or??
It is NOT a new Jeep…yes…there will be things to tweak, change, etc…that’s what makes a 66 year old Jeep too cool!
But it climbs like a goat and starts in All kinds of weather!”
UPDATE: Price bumped to $6250.
“2004 Frame off restoration. Everything has been rebuilt or replaced. Willys 4-cylinder flathead engine. Leather soft top and doors. Call 513-5203 for extended list of parts and add-ons.”
Both appear rough.
“These are 2 rolling chassis w/ body shells – one is a 1946 CJ2A which I have the title to and the other is a 48 to 51 I believe. Plenty of extra parts as seen in pics. Wanting to sell both with all extra parts for $1200 OBO or trade? e-mail or call 575-588-7354.”
Unclear if it includes a windshield.
“runs and drives, good tires, with another complete engine.needs restoration, a very rare. looking for a solid Corvair or VW bug, or something else unique .”
Hard to tell how much value is here.
“For sale: 1947 willys jeep tub, hood, windshield (m38), fenders, tailgate, grille. $350
Also, a 1973 jeep cj5 tub, hood, grille, fenders, rollbar. $350
Or both for 600. Both need body work and restoring. Or trade for a rat rod cab from 30s-50s truck. Email for more info and pics.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
(12/02/2013) This appears to be worth a look.
“This is a rusty dinged up jeep. Dont waste my time by coming to look at it just to tell me its rusty and dented. I know that and now you know that too. Bill of sale available to purchaser. No title.
Frame is solid. No structural rust damage at all. Gauges are intact. All running gear is in place and functional. When gas and battery are hooked up, jeep will will drive on its own power. New wires/plugs/coil/etc. Huge PTO powered Ramsey winch on the back. You can purchase COMPLETE original style steel body kits for these very reasonably. With a body kit, this would be an awesome little keep. Excellent bones. Vin plates/serial plates, are intact.”
