Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Jeep project has 44 rear axle ant 27 front matched set needs drums and bearings no motor or tranny. Saginaw low torque steering box already installed. Has ford small block motor mounts in it now. Frame is perfectly straight with no rust body is pretty rough could be salvaged. Custom made floor with gas tanks under. Good start to a cheap crawler project.First $450 takes it home. Possible trades what you got. I have way to load on your trailer.”

This runs and drives. The steering wheel is mounted upside-down.
“1949 Willys Jeep cj2a. Original flathead 4 Cylinder. Runs good, new carb, fuel pump, gas tank, plugs, wires and lots of other stuff. Has the split window, 4×4 works great, dont have a top for it. Going to get a Rhino and this jeep is my down payment.”

“MAKE ME AN OFFER!
1948 Willys CJ2A I started the mechanical and electrical restoration, finished many things, body is remaining main item. Runs like a sewing machine. Tons of new and replaced parts.
I work in Nashville Mon-Thu. during the week, so Friday, Saturday and Sunday is the only time to see / drive it. Sorry.
I can send you lots more pictures in a zipped file on request.
Here is a pretty detail list of work I have done to it already.
Rear seat and military spare tire do not go with it, they belong in another jeep of mine.
