Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This one is not a project. It has been taken all the way down to the frame. Perfect for the deer lease, country roads or car show. It has all the proper lights and equipment to get a state inspection and use daily. The following has been restored

-new tires including spare
– it also has the heater option inside”
This looks to have a VEC tub. I don’t see any other signs though.

Wanting to trade for Willys Jeep in original condition, can be military or civilian. Doesn’t need to be running but must be complete. A nice jeep for a younger person. Asking for $5000 obo”

“For Sale 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Rebuilt F134 4cyl. Runs great. No smoke. T-90 three speed transmission shifts smoothly and is very quiet. Body is decent and has seen some prior repair. Tires are fair. Has bucket seats and roll bar. I do have an aluminum top with doors if interested. Brakes are weak. Right front wheel cylinder leaks. Has new master cylinder and new fuel tank. Been a great jeep to run around the property. I have a set of tail lights for jeep. Who needs a gator or mule with one of these. $2500.00”

This is a project or parts jeep.
“1948 willys CJ 2a with flathead 4 cylinder runs and drives project in progress still needs ALOT done to it we just have fun driving it around the yard playing with it… too many projects going on and this one needs to go to a new home call me with all cash offers and trades you may have… looking for a good fourwheeler 4×4 or sport quad or just about anything just ask you never know until you ask (913-360-0701) it has all new tie rod ends and draglink on steering all new swing shackel bushings in the springs all the brakes work and i have the block and radiator all drained and dried out before being put outside for the winter no cracks in the block and it has a new headgasket on it just 1 month ago i pulled the head to look at the cylinders to see what i had and they all looked great so i put a new head gasket on it and filled it with water and ran it for a few days prior to winter to make shure the cooling system was good abslutely no leaks at all so then i pulled the block drains an drained the block and radiator and dried them out and put it outside for the winter so with that said we can put a battery in it and coolant and take it for a drive right now if you want…”

This CJ has been militarized a bit.
“Frame up resto! repro military body tub. combat wheels with new tubes,wheels flaps and new nondirectional tires. brake drums turned with new shoes and wheel cylinders. new u- joints. shocks and exhaust. rebuilt ford gpw radiator. motor rebuild- sleeved back to standard bore with new pistons,cam,reground crank,oil pump,valves,guides and springs. 3 speed trans rebuilt with new bearings, same with the transfercase with p.t.o. new leaf spings. larger military fuel tank. steering box rebuilt. converted to 12v. with new alternator. new battery. newer tigertop mfg. by best top. brake and fuel lines. fuel pump. electric wipers with heavyduty modified peterbuilt wiperblades. leather seatpads. warn hubs. modified snowway predator plastic plow with down pressure,that was modified and scaled down to fit. 60h.p. and is almost as small as ur atvs only with more room for passengers and equipment. 4500.00 o.b.o. cash is king but willing to do possible trades- pre evo big twin and sportster h.d.,s. whole or basketcases and the same with british bikes. remember this IS the vehicle that truly Did help win the war. 300 miles on it.”

And the steering wheel is held on how? That aside, this appears worth a look.
