Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 Willys CJ-2A — no title. For an experienced rebuilder — we bit off more than we could chew!! Good frame, tub needs to be replaced. Needs new tires, seats, gas tank, electrical and cooling. Original engine, missing a piston. Could be a sweet rebuild or good for parts. Has one remaining ID tag with serial number. Will need to be moved on a trailer. $700. Cash only.”

“Very rare Koenig Ironworks hard top for a Willys CJ2A Jeep. this will fit a CJ3a with slight modification, but not 3b or 5. The whole top disassembles for easy transport. It’s assembled right now. All steel, very little rust. Glass is intact, one side pane has a crack.

“Great project. Has rebuilt transmission and transfer case, new clutch kit, 12 volt starter, master cylinder, and the carb was rebuilt. Have all receipts for parts purchased. Parts are included but not installed. Original 4 cyl, ran about a year ago, before tear down for trans and clutch work. We started the work and fell into another project that caught our eye, this one has to go. There is a title from Louisiana, but it is not signed or notarized so it will need someone who is willing to do some leg work.”
This is rough, but there might be a few parts of value.

This CJ-2A has a rear PTO generator with a welder and a Oxy/Acetylene setup. It’s probably been upgraded to a F-head, but still a cool old setup.
