About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“its a 1947 willy’s jeep its been sitting for a while motor is complete its the flat head 4 cylinder and only had 10 miles on a fresh rebuild when it was parked, also i believe it is already converted to a 12 volt style alternator. has a manual transmission with a twin stick transfercase only thing that was wrong with it when it was parked was it was grinding going into gears because the clutch was not engaging properly, needed adjustment. does not run but shouldnt take much to get it goin
not sure what it is worth in this condition will ask 2000 OBO do not be afraid to make a cash offer or trade offer will consider anything interesting…”
“1946 Willys Cj2a – Runs and drives, needs brake work. Ford Pinto motor with stock transmission. Lift with 35’s used strictly for off-road. (906) Two eight seven fourteen hundred”
“This jeep starts right up and is a lot of fun to drive. The Jeep has an excellent running V8 engine, a Warn overdrive (transfer case is twin-stick, gives it a high and low range for each gear), a new soft top, and a new gas tank. The transmission on this jeep is a smooth-shifter and it works perfectly.
I had all of the brake wheel cylinders replaced (along with a couple of brake lines that needed to be replaced) and the brakes work great. I also just had all of the tranny and differential fluids drained and replaced….this jeep is ready to go as a daily driver or for off-road use.
The jeep has a few small holes / spots in the floor that could be patched if desired, but they are minor and overall, this vehicle has very little rust and is in very good cosmetic shape for it’s age.
Everything works on the jeep except the speedometer and fuel gauge. I have the kit to put turn signals on the jeep, but, I have not installed it yet – buyer can have the kit for free if they like. The jeep also needs a rear view mirror to be registered in some states. I also have a set of large rock crawler tires that came with the jeep. I haven’t put them on but assume they fit and work.
This jeep is currently registered / titled in Idaho and it is a clean and lien-free title in my name. Mileage is unknown.
It pains me to sell this jeep but my wife says it has to go as I need the space in the garage for our boat.
Will sell for best offer received over $3,450.

“Willis Jeep 1948 Flat Fender. This Jeep was bought as a project vehicle. But things have changed & I don’t have time for it. My loss your gain. The vehicle has a clear TN title. The body is rough. The motor is free. This would a good restoration project as it is pretty much complete with a title. 4 x $ with lock out hubs.”
“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Firewall plate intact Serial Number CJ2A 187943. All original matching numbers engine, body, tailgate. Ran last time it was used in 2007. Stored since then. Transferable Registration. $6000 in parts already installed or ready to go. Tub is rough, but mechanically Jeep is sound. Hand Brake even works, but rest of brake system needs rebuild. This Jeep can be parted out for significantly more than this price. This is a restoration in progress. Not ready to drive home, but a gem to those that want to own a true classic and are willing to complete the needed work. Or, take Jeep and the parts home, part it out, and make some money.
Call Craig @ 845-266-3139. Leave message if no answer and I’ll get back to you quickly.”
I don’t think this looks all that bad. I’ve seen worse rust.
“1948 WILLYS JEEP CJ2A NEEDS RESTORED.
Recent engine work ran last fall thats the last time it was started.
Needs clutch and brakes. Not bad for 63 years old. Will trade for a good running SMALL car or truck.
May trade to a four wheeler or a good running tractor mower.”
“Needs work. Brand new Battery. Has been stored in closed garage for years. Owned by World War II Vet. Used for hunting. Perfect for someone who is interested in restoring this Beauty!”
(11/21/2010) “This is a great jeep, it does need some restoration work. Would be a great project for the gear head in your family. It is set at a low price, which is negotiable. It has been in the family since 1960. Has the rollbar (not original) and winch original. The pictures do not do it justice it is old but beautiful if you are an old car buff. We need to sell due to losing our home and would prefer not to take it with us. We have the title and the first one with cash will walk away with a piece of history. I have included some information from a site about the jeep. If you have questions, want more pics or would like more information please dont hesitate to contact me..”
