“I am selling my beloved Jeep. a 1949 CJ 2A The engine was rebuilt two years ago and is very solid, starts every time. Solid trans and four wheel works great low and hi range. A custom made aluminum um 10 gallon fuel cell. Tires are Kumho tires less than two years old, a full roll cage, large brush guard with lights and a second set of tires. The entire Jeep is rhino lined inside and out. This jeep is not perfect but has not let me down. I purchased the Jeep in 2010 and have used it as a hunting vehicle. I had plans on completely restoring it but just never got around to it. I hate to sell it but need to.”
I suspect the seller is wrong about the year.
“1946 CJ-2A , Body is rough, minor rust in left front corner of floor pan. Engine has compression but is not running. 3spd manual trans, pto winch .I pulled the carburator apart, blasted it with baking soda but havent got any further . Just too many projects. Driver seat was removed to work on fuel tank, I have it , it’s just not in the photo. The fuel tank is rusted badly and needs to be replaced. brake cylinders are frozen. vin did not match vin on title, had vin verified by chp and they added a blue tag to the firewall. all paper work is now clear and vehicle can be registered. This would be a fun project for someone that has the time. all questions cheerfully answered”
