This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks like a solid, pretty stock jeep.
“1947 Willys CJ2A, second owner, 52,000 actual miles, original PTO winch, original 4-cylinder engine, 3-speed transmission, hi / low transfer case, 16” wheels / mud & snow tires, rancho springs / new shocks, “lock-rite” locker in the rear, waren locking hubs, new seats, CB radio, tag numbers on body and frame match the title, very clean body and frame / no damage. This jeep has been kept in a garage / barn.”
UPDATE: This is officially SPAM. After being posted in Seattle, then Minnesota, and now Detroit. I’m not sure what the seller is after, because they never responded to my emails.

“1946 Willys Jeep 4 wheel drive, CJ-2A, serial number 76844, still has 4 cylinder motor, still has transmission, all other parts are there. Has been sitting and not driven for more than 5 years so it has some body rust and needs a new fuel tank and fuel line. This old jeep would make a great restoration project. $1000.00 obo or will consider trade for golf cart or UTV.”

(08/22/2011) “I’ve got a 48 willys that isn’t the prettiest, but with some work it could be a very nice jeep. I’ve had it for two years, but now its time to part. As you can see from the pic its not to rough and since in mt possession it has been abused. The engine and trans are the original. Someone changed the air filter at some point in time in its existence, so the original oil bath is gone”

“Up for auction is a 1951 Jeep Willys CJ3Awith 43,037 miles. I was told this was actual mileage but can’t confirm due to how old the Jeep is. I always wanted a willys so I purchased the Jeep with the intentions of restoring it but currently have tooooooooooooo many projects going and need to make some room. Jeep comes with it’s Original Common Wealth of Virginia Title from 1951 which has been framed to preserve and display it. This Jeep was owned by the same family it’s whole life and has been sitting for quite awhile. I was told it was running when parked but can not verify. Jeep has all of it’s original fenders, front grille, Windshield frame, tailgate, Motor & driveline, rear mounted spare tire carrier, 5 Wheels & Tires (rubber is cracked and they leak air), Driver side seat, and also a registratable Title which is in the original owners sons name so you don’t have to let go of the original. I have uploaded numerous pictures to detail the condition of the parts. I would say this Jeep is around 90-95% complete. I hate to let it go and hopefully she’ll find a nice new owner to restore her to her original beauty. This was a Farm Jeep and the Body, All sheet metal, panels & Frame are Rock solid.”

“I have for sale a CJ2A dressed up to look like a military Jeep. It has leather seats front and rear instead of canvas, five gallon jerry can, british siren, military looking axe, mounted fire extinguisher, and a fifty caliber ammo can for a console. The vehicle is converted to twelve volt, has new contact points, spark plugs, coil, distributor cap, and starter bendix. It starts very well, runs like a champ, four wheel drive works well, low and high range works as well. It has a custom made canvas top. It is an attention getter, and would be great for parades, or car.”
