“1948 Willys jeep that has a solid drivetrain: runs great, shifts great, easily goes into and out of 4wd, as well as hi/lo range. The body is very fixable with the usual areas being rusty. I have a good NC title in hand”
This needs brakes. Looks solid otherwise.
“1946 Willys CJ-2A—-$2,500.00 O.B.O.
This Jeep has the original flat head 4 cylinder engine that has been converted to 12 V. The engine runs great. This Jeep has all the original drive train and the 4-wheel drive works great. This Jeep has super low gears and a manual transmission. This is a great project Jeep and will be perfect for a Jeep lover like me. I have too many projects and not enough time and money. The only problem with this Jeep is the brakes. I took it out of the garage this year and the brakes had lost pressure. It seems like the brakes need to be bled or maybe a master cylinder. This is the first model C.J. after WWII. Your dad has been wanting one of these since he was a kid. You can get it for him just in time for Christmas. Call Taylor at 801-808-2181. O.B.O. ”

“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A….$2500
(2) 1946 Willys Jeeps CJ2A…..$1500/each
According to the seller, he has “title for 1948, Bill of Sale for the (2) 1946’s. The 48 will run, it has not in two years and then for a short period of time on lawn mower can of gas. The 46’s were bought for parts. I have no idea their capability of running. Both are intact only missing a part here and there. I would represent all of the Willys as needing a full restoration, that way an individual can expect the worse and hope for the best. Also, if you are interested after viewing the photos; make me an offer to consider.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This looks nice, but needs a little more work.
“This is a 1947 CJ2A. I restored this jeep 2 years ago. I have not tagged it or driven it. It has been sitting in covered storage since I finished it. I took it down to the frame, sandblasted the frame, coated it with POR-15. All new seals were placed in the axles, and all new gaskets. New gas tank. The body was bead blasted and bodywork was done using metal where needed with thin film bondo used in places that were necessary for smoothing. I have pictures as well of the restoration process that details what I did. The engine was rebuilt, new bearings, rings, and seals. I had the transmission professional rebuilt. I had change out the rear diff with the same unit from another jeep of the same year, only because at the time I wanted the experience. At this time, I have driven a couple of times around the block, and there is whine on coasting coming from the rear end that perhaps needs to be re-shimmed.
Shouldn’t be too much of a job really. Original style wiring harness used. I really tried to make it as original as possible, save for the 12 volt system and adding another taillight in case someone would like to add turn signals later. The front end needs to be aligned, simple procedure, but I just never got around to it. Brakes work well, all new. It really is a nice jeep, I did all the hard work, now someone could refine it. I am selling it for much lower than what I have in it. Just need to get rid of some toys. I have a title to this Jeep, its a Texas title. Also, please call 918-361-9101 for any questions. Again, please note that I stated that I feel this Jeep needs to be FINISHED OUT. Basically needs the bugs worked out and such, and add anything that you would like. It does not have turn signals, and I have only driven it around some after restoring it. I feel that I am selling it at a very fair price considering what you will be getting. To restore a jeep like this would cost a lot more than what my starting bid is. I am not out to make any money, just sell the Jeep to a good home and give someone that appreciates these as a hobby to refine what I have nearly finished.”
