“1947 WILLYS JEEP CJ-2A WILLY WILLIS KEVLAR BODY – this is the first car I bought. I am selling this as a last ditch effort to make my payments before a new possible job begins. I would like to sell for cash only asap. If my job comes through this will be taken off asap. 100 miles on NEWLY RESTORED FRAME, BRAND NEW KEVLAR BODY, BRAND NEW WINDSHIELD FRAME, BRAND NEW ONE OF A KIND ROLL GAGE THAT ‘PINS-OFF’. 134 L-Head with about 3000 miles on fresh-rebuild, 3 SP Restored T90, Serviced T-Case, Serviced Axels, New Brake items – all 100%…has sat in this condition for 3 years or so. “46 willys cj2a early production with the tool indent on the body. it is missing the motor and the seats. The tub needs work but for the year not too bad. It is a project but the tub is pretty rare if you are in to original and not repo. I also have another tub that needs work for 200 as well as fenders and hoods but again they need work. This runs and drives, but appears to have some rust in the driver’s side step (or that’s just a black mark).  It might be a good price.

3 speed trans
Two lever transfer case, with high/low range and two wheel/four wheel levers

Snow plow is not included but is available for an extra $400″

(10/08/2012) This looks in good shape.  It looks like a hole has been cut in the hood for the air cleaner though.

Runs, drives, needs work.  Not quite ‘very original condition’.

Runs,drives Four Wheel Drive works
Smokes a bit until warm haven’t started it much in the past year
Tranny/transfercase and axles very solid, trany doesn’t pop out of gear like most do. transfercase shifts in and out of high and low 2 to 4 easily
Running gear is very,solid on this. I drove it around for nearly a year before deciding I wanted to restore it ground up. Illness forces sale now.

Very original condition.except has been converted to a 12 volt electrical system.

Tons of extra new and used original and aftermarket parts including,
Soft Top.
Tailgate
New bed pan and parts
New Distributor
Rollbar
Starter
window hinges and thumb screws several different styles
3 inch lift kit

The reason for the sale is sad, but it isn’t a great restoration.

“LOOK! 1948 Willys Jeep Mechanicals All Rebuilt! just restored by a Great Restoration Shop In Town for my friend, this was his Dream and his baby, HE DROVE IT ON THE RAMP TRUCK IN AND OUT OF THE GARAGE AND FOR 320 MILES! Unfortunatly he passed on from heart attack! He is survived by his loving wife and two children, 12 & 10 years old!!
