Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The front cross member on this looks odd.
“Great jeep for the outdoors. New shocks, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, motor and transfer case mounts. Runs good and ready to go!”

“1947 jeep willys flattie/flat fender for sale… started frame off restoratiin with frame sand blasted and painted. setup and had ford small block v8 installed but sold mustang motor and project will need engine and bellhousing. has trans and transfer case with driveshafts and everything else all done. body was sanded down for paint, was a southern tenessee vehicle with very clean body. has full roll cage and lift. looking to get 2500.00 for it or trade for comparable valued ski doo, polaris, arctic cat, yamaha snowmobile…”

It looks like to me that the cargo area floor panel was replaced. There’s some usable parts here.
“You are bidding on a 1947 Willys CJ2A that I acquired for a future project. Another opportunity has become available so I have elected to sell this. First off, the vehicle has a clean title in my name and I personally think it would be a very good start to a restoration project. It looks like this may have had a diamond plate strip along the passenger side at one time. If the body is solid as it appears this might be worth a look.

“Straight 6, original running gear, 3 inch lift, everything works, A lot of fun to drive. Obviously need new seats but the tub is in good shape with minimal surface rust. We don’t have the time right now and I would hate to see it rot away in the yard. ”

This is a nice looking jeep.
“This jeep has always started. it is in great shape for its age. always kept indoors. It has a top, heater, wench, hubs, AIR lockers, airtank, reciever hitch, welder, two fuel tanks, duel exhust, great tires, rear seat, roll bar, camping rack. new extra best top. Has just about everything to rebuild the engine (new in the boxes) I was going to rebuild it 20 years ago but the jeep still purrs. I have had the jeep for 40 plus years! There is a small dent in the back where a trailer tounge hit the back. I drive it only a couple times a year. I noticed some oil leaking out of the hubs. There is a tear in the passenger seat. Been sitting too long. Everything works. I can get off a four wheel drive road, get on the freeway, use overdrive and cruise at 65 mph. Been a great jeep. Miles may not be accurate. I would like to be payed within 7 days after auction. I think it best to contact me and we can make arrangements for payment and delivery. We can possible deliver the jeep for a fee.”
