Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Besides being lifted, the entrance area has been trimmed down.
“1947 Willys Jeep with original engine, transmission, transfer case, and axles. Jeep runs great and both high and low 4×4 works. Then engine does smoke a little bit, but no more than to be expected for ’47. This jeep will go anywhere a four wheeler will go. Has lockers in front and rear. Although there is no title. “46 willys cj2a cranks runs,new gas tank carb kit master cyl ect. seems to be solid. ready to restore or use as is. no title bos only. has a pto powered arc welder made by gE. very cool. i have never seen one. 1850.00 ”

“This is a great piece of history that I have owned for 1976 till present day. It is not perfect as the pictures will show but much better than average for its age. It shows about 20000 miles and I believe that to be accurate it has had all the typical rust of an old CJ that I repaired in 1981 and some of it is starting to show in places . It has a great CJ 3A windshield on it and I also have a CJ 2A windshield frame that needs much repair that you can have with it . I have converted it to a 12 volt system for better starting other than that it is mostly original from front to back it has new brakes and rebuilt brake cylinders so the brakes are as good as good as any CJ2A . Their are some holes drilled in the dash for light switches otherwise the dash is as it should be. And the exhaust system is stock and has a fairly new muffler on it as well and the engine will start and run on the coldest of days sometimes when nothing else will start. I hate to let it go but the time has come for someone else to enjoy it.”
