This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “It is complete except for the glass”, claims the seller. Looks like it is missing have the rear body to me.

UPDATE: Priced dropped to $1500. A reader went to look at this. The rear decking is gone. It has been stored outside. The seller didn’t attempt to start before the reader arrived. It was a wasted of time.
No pics provided. It has a rear PTO and sounds like some additional equipment.

“I have a 1948 Willys Jeep that I am selling. Asking 2500.00 OBO or possible trade. Has a Ford 289 in it 3 speed twin stick transfer case. Has 31/10/50 tires on it. It’s a project that needs to be finished, it will start so you can hear it run. Must bring trailer to haul it with. I am also willing to trade for a small car that gets good gas mileage.”

(05/29/2012) Engine newly rebuilt.
“This Willys has a freshly rebuilt Chevy 283 V8 in it that runs great. It has Dana 41 and 25 axles under it with 5.38 gears. This jeep also comes with a very hard to find arctic top hard top. It also has a brand new halogen headlight conversion installed in it, and a new battery. Also has some nice bucket seats with 4 point harnesses. New distributor cap, points, sparkplugs, and wires.
