Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Nicely restored 1948, Willys cj-2a jeep. The following has been done: Replacement body tub kit, Fully Rebuilt engine, transmission and axles gone thru with new seals and bearings, new clutch, full brakes and master cyl, 4 new Firestone 6.00-16 NDT tires, New exhaust, shocks, upholstery, glass…etc.
Jeep has a full rear PTO mounted, along with brackets from a Monroe 3 point hitch (gone)
Jeep runs, drives and stops perfectly, and has clear NYS title.”

“1945 Cj2a Willys Jeep. 90 percent restored. Serial #11325. Body #1824. New tires, paint, seat covers. Transmission, transfer, and 4×4 all work perfectly. This is an exceptionally clean Willys Jeep and has won many awards at car shows.It is 1 of only 1825 built during the last 6 months of 1945. It has original color scheme of Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels. It is extremely fun to drive and is driven daily. For the right price, you should enjoy this Jeep as much as we have. If you have any question, please don’t hesitate to call me.”

“I have a 1946 willys army jeep its an all steel body in excellent condition for its age would be the perfect mud truck or rock crawler, for the most part its all there and just needs to be put together a great winter project. I have a propane powered 4.3l Chevy vortech motor with all the advance adapters parts needed to mount a willys transmission, also I have headers an edlebrock intake and a pulling cam incase you want to put a carb on the motor. I have a willys trans and transfer case out of a newer willys wagon. It has jeep yj springs and is sprung over scout Dana 44 axles with 4.10 and warn manual locking hubs. The right side knuckle is machined down for cross over steering and cost several hundred alone. Has pedals and power brake booster from a yj and a gm power steering box. It has 35 inch tires in the pics just to give you an idea how tall it is I also have another set of tires and wheels you can have. I have a very rare willys jeep pickup cap and doors that also go with the jeep, I also have two brand new best top seats the windshield and all the lights gauges and covers. If you have any questions please let me know I have way to many projects and have to let some go. I have a lot invested into this thing and I’m a little flexable on the price but please no low ballers. I know there is more I’m missing but whatever I have is all yours. I will consider trades for a bobber, a chopper, or a vw golf mk4 I dont mind doing work on them or cash up/down. Thank you for looking.”

(01/30/2012) This looks solid, though the bottom of the body has been replaced with diamond plating.
“Original 4 cylinder flat head with brass radiator. New gas tank, leaf springs, wiring (converted to 12V), new exhaust and battery. Plow, heater, winch, high beams, blinkers. 1974 hard top with removable doors. Rear seat, front seats recovered. Military tires with spare. Diamond plate on bottom of body. Has been licensed and inspected and used on road. Owned for 20 years.”

“Hi, i am selling my1946 cj2a jeep willys. it is great condition and freshly restored. i rebuilt the engine from the ground up using all top of the line parts. all of the lights and electrial and switches are brand new also. has new original seats in the front and than a 1998 yj back seat that comes out. over all condition of jeep is great, i love it and hate to sell it but was in a bad accident and have priorities now. asking 6000 or best offer for the jeep because i have much more than that into it.”
