“Selling a 1949 CJ-2A Willis military edition jeep. I have the title for it, but the jeep needs full restoration. Previous owner installed a diff engine which is an f head. For this reason the hood was cut and a custom hood scoop was built. However, if you desire to go back the full original, I do have the full original motor. The motor in the car, runs great and turns right over, however the clutch is seized. The frame is good, but the body needs some love. Looks like a lot of parts r from m38 military. Has a military top, gas can holder with gas can, and military cushions.”

This looks like an updated former road/trail jeep.  Looks like there is a name on the hood, too.

Clutch is frozen, but otherwise looks solid.

“1948 Willys jeep CJ2A that has sat for about 4 years. I put new plugs, battery, master cylinder for the brakes and clutch, new fuel pump, and cleaned carburator and the the tank. The jeep runs and the motor is still strong. The jeep has good tires, rhino lined, new seat covers, seat belts, warn lockouts, tow bar and gun rack. The only think that is still wrong with jeep is the slave cylinder for the clutch is froze up from sitting. I have grown tired of working on it and putting money in it and decided to sell it. The guy I bought it off used it to take to Colorado and assured me that four wheel drive and transmission was all working good when parked. I went thru the gears and the transfer case goes in and out of four wheel easy. The last time it was on the road was 2008.

Hard to say if there is much value here or not.

“Willys jeep cj2 complete original except it has a front cap off of a willys truck or station wagon. Engine will turn over if you pull it but the starter is bad. Probably doesn’t have much compression. Not for sale for scrap, I don’t want it recycled into a toyota fender. Buy it for parts for the one sitting in your back yard.”

(07/17/2012) The windshield looks like a CJ-3B windshield, only taller? Or is that my imagination.  The installation of the steering wheel was unusual . . .

“This is a 1948 jeep willys. Many mods/upgrades have been done. It has a compklete fiberglass body kit installed. It has a v-6 225 with headers and a holley intake. The motors runs but may have a blown head gasket, mily oil. It has a pto with a 10,000# winch. Also, having cnc hyd. conversions with rack and pinion steering. The tires are like new goodyears. Although this is a complete running jeep it does need work. I have a clear MI title but the vin tag is gone from previous body change. Call 419-602-3343. 1500 firm. Other parts aval. ”

I love the old lettering for the “Pine Valley Hunt Club”.   Except for the crazy front bumper, this looks in pretty good shape.  Motor is locked.
