Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (01/15/2010) There are a few minor things that aren’t original, but they aren’t any big deal.
“THIS JEEP IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. The Jeep is as original as can be. COLOR IS PASTURE GREEN WITH YELLOW WHEELS. L-HEAD 4 cyl MOTOR “GO DEVEL” 6 volt ELECT. in # 15775 column shift.”
This has a fiberglass body and a CJ-5 Grille. Anyone recognize the seats?

“1948 Willys CJ-2A, 4 wheel drive, runs and drives great, does not burn oil, roll bar, seat belts, CB radio, alternator, 4 cylinder, 3 speed, steering stabilizer, good brakes, wheel bearings, etc. Just a lot of fun in the summer!”

31inch tires in very good cond..
It has top and doors,All 4×4 works good.
This is an old jeep so yes it needs work
I put back breaks on it but front needs done
I put a new starter on it. Tags are good until 8/2013

Though it is a CJ-2A, it has rear floating hubs. Maybe it’s a VEC?

A MJ2A? May be partially disassembled.
“I’m selling a 1948 Willys CJ2A. I picked this up a couple years ago as a project, but it doesn’t look like I’m ever going to get around to working on it. It is painted to look like an MJ2A, but it is a CJ.
This should make someone a fun little project. It was running before I started to dismantle and I used to drive it to the store for fun. Body if fairly solid. Some rust on the undercarriage and some bondo work on the body. Not all original, but it still pretty nice. Has a nice little flat head 4 cylinder in it too. 3 speed manual trans. And lockable hubs via a shifter in the vehicle.
This could easily be modified to be a rock crawler, or taken out as is. Email me if you are a serious bidder only.”

Runs and drives.
“Asking $1200 O.B.O.
JEEP WILLYS 4×4
This 1946 WILLYS runs and lot drives(has no brakes, so cannot be driven over the road).
Has the original 4 cylinder motor.
The body has been cut on over the years, and mods made.
All original from the dashboard forward.
The frame is rotted at the left rear spring pearch.
The passenger side of the windshield is broken.
Four wheel drive does work.
Other than what’s listed above, I believe everything else is in working order.
HAS A CLEAN AND CLEAR OHIO TITLE!
This Jeep has been used at camp up until this spring when it made the trip home, and has always run good and rides well enough to do normal camp activities. Will not part out at all!
