About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Here are a couple jeeps for sale. The purple CJ appears to have a replacement body.
“ALMOST 2 JEEPS $4500.00: 1946 CJ-2A Licensed and titled with almost a second in additional parts.
I?m finally admitting I don?t have the time to continue with my project so I?m selling both of my Jeep projects.
The first Jeep is licensed and titled; it has an assigned title from the State of Colorado, and is running. The engine smokes a lot (rings) but otherwise runs quite well. This has very good high back buckets and new tires on aftermarket rims. Original 3 Speed with Twin Stick Transfer Case and a Original Warn Overdrive and Manual Hubs. No Top, and the body has quite a bit of rust. The brakes work but should be gone through before it?s driven on the road. It has some gauges and the speedometer but aren’t not hooked up.
The second Jeep is also a 46-2A that is almost complete but has no engine. This one has a rebuilt (Mile High Jeep Rebuilders) Transmission and Twin Stick Transfer Case, original Jeep Seat Frames and a much better body. The floor has been replaced and is on its rolling chassis with original 16? Jeep Wheels. This one also has manual hubs but again no Top. There is no title on this one. Additionally, there are some loose/spare parts, an extra windshield frame and a Good Jeep Rebuilders Manual. Additional photos are available.”
This is a bit high for a project and it is very much a project still.
“hey all. we are raising money for my sons special education costs. so up for sale is our 1946 willys jeep. i bought this about 6 years ago, drove it for approx 80 miles, found the traditional floor rust and promptly pulled it into the garage and started stripping it down. long story short, there is now a brand new tub, primered and ready to paint/install, frame has been undercoated, engine and trans/ pto have been pulled/new gasket kits installed/and put back together, new wiring harness and frame brake lines are ready to go in, as well as a lot of other work thats been done. i know ill never get my time out of it, and currently i have over 5800.00 into it, it is an easy project to finish, so if youre interested in this complete original willys, let me know. thanx. dave.”
For a jeep with a serial number of 11672, this looks decidedly non VEC ish. It’s certainly not totally stock for that vintage. However, it is a nice looking rebuild.
“1945 Willy’s CJ-2A Civilian Jeep Universal. SN. 11672.This unit is totally stock with the original “Go-Devil” L-Head 4 cylinder 60 HP engine and associated transmission and differentials. The only items that have been upgraded are a full 12V electrical system with battery, starter, alternator, wiring, and all lights and gauges. The windshield wipers have been converted from vacuum to electric for just a bit more dependability. The unit has only recently been completed and even includes a new (only installed and put on twice) Best top and doors. This is an all steel, and, I think, it is all original steel, body. The body was removed from the chasse and all necessary maintenance was performed. The floors are the original and show no signs of rust including the compartment under the passenger seat. Both the underside and the top of the full floor have been stripped down and Rhino Hide coated. The wheels are perfect and carry a new full set of five 600X16 non-directional tread tires. The seats have been redone with the proper upholstery both front and rear. I have had this unit on the highway for a 120 mile round trip at fifty miles per hour and had absolutely no problems.”
“This posting is for my 1946 jeep willys cj 2a.I bought tihs jeep about 4 years ago as a fun project and never finished it but is almost there. It has a 50s modle cj 3b motor in it and it runs fine. The new things are the wiring harness, steering box, windsheild gaskets minus the glass and gas tank. The rear floor has been replaced with dimond plate and I have fliped the axles to give it a moderate lift about 4 in.This jeep would be perfect for that hunting cabin, offroad,or just to cruise around town in.The brakes are all there but dont work I think they just need to bee hooked up. There are a lot of extra parts that come with the jeep including the original motor and trans.I will deliver within 30 miles for free and .50 a mile after that if need be.This jeep is a project so it is being sold as is no warenty.Feal free to email me any time. ”
I’m not sure I’ve seen that model of soft top. The side windows angle and the back area (can’t tell if there is a back or not) is pretty wide open. This looks like it a ‘lefty’ to me.
“Up for sale is this 1948 CJ5,4X4 willys jeep, as you see the Jeep is clean and has been in the family many yrs, it has been well taken care of and runs great, new tires and wheels, very dependable, it is a daily driver, with a clear title…. I will take 4000 OBO………… hit me up if you interested”
This looks like a reasonable price, though I see a bit of rust along parts of the body. The top looks in very good condition. I can’t see if this is a VEC or not.
“Theis is a 1946 Willys Jeep with a 3 speed on the column. It is very rare! It has the original 4-cylinder flat head motor in it. The motor has been rebuilt and the transmission and transfer care have been checked. A new clutch was put in when the motor was rebuilt. It has new exaust and it also has new front and rear end.”
That body looks a little rough despite the new paint job.
“Runs Good – resored Comes with Canvas top, doors and frame. Other Extras. Also has plow frame, tow bar and hitch. Great camp or hunting vehicle. Call 920-277-9350 if interested.”
(07/13/2009) The paint looks a bit rough, however given that it’s been garaged, the body might be in pretty good shape.
“1946 Willys CJ2A (Civilian Jeep) Jeep. Warn hubs (have original), electric wiper and defroster, big heater, backup lights, hand-held spotlight, tow bar. Always garaged, owned since 1965 with complete records. Needs battery. Runs well! Correspond by e-mail only!”
