Needs a different engine.

“The vehicle has all parts necessary to run minus the engine. The engine blew and is unrepairable. It has little to no rust. I have only owned it for 5 months.

4 wheel drive.
New tires less than 200 miles on them.
Rhino lined.
8000lb Winch.
Custom canvas top.
Custom back seat will hold 3 adults.
Insured, Registered, clean title.
Tow triangle.
New battery.
Parts not yet installed but included with the sale:

Windshield wiper system (for drivers side window), turn signal kit, rear-view mirror, and two side mirrors.

I will also include the “original” service manual, parts manual and owners guide. The reason I’m selling this Jeep is because I am in the USCG and I’m transferring this summer and I do not have the time to replace the engine and get the Jeep back to 100%. I would prefer a local buyer. Price is somewhat flexible pending your shipping/transport arrangements.

“Bought this as an off roading project and later on I bought a 4×4 ATV, so I no longer need this. Has no engine, but has the rest of the drive train. Has no wiring at all, but most else is there. Also has a very beat up hard top. ”

There’s been some good work done on this jeep …. and then there are the bumpers.

“This is the first year of the “CJ” (Civilian Jeep) after WWII. This Willys Jeep has been fully restored and upgraded in several areas. The entire stock drive-train (flat-head 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission, transfer case, drive shafts, and axles) has been rebuilt and restored. The chassis, including all the steering gear and leaf springs has been refurbished. The body is new and rust free. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts and all the wiring and switches, etc. are new. A modern package of 6 AutoMeter gauges is installed. Late model Jeep seats with seat belts are installed. A new Bestop convertible top is included. Five new 15 inch wheels wear new BFG 235/75 All-Terrain Radial T/A tires. The front and rear are guarded by custom built double tube bumpers with integral hitch receivers.”

I believe this is the first muffler I have ever seen installed in the engine compartment; the only problem is that it is installed on the intake side of things rather than the exhaust side.

This runs.  It has an inline six.

“Early CJ-series Willy’s in working condition. Has 6 cylinder Kaiser Supersonic Engine (not original probably came from a vintage Henry J) and a original 6 volt system. New seats, rebuilt carburator and new tires (plus new spare). Most non-original modifications removed to simulate exact version that became the M-38. Cash only. Drive or tow away with 1 3/8″ hitch. “I took this Jeep out from an old barn in P.A. that was stored for 25 years. I can show you pictures. Although has its share of rust, its all there and so is the motor. I havent had it running but the gentleman I purchased it from had it cranking days prior to the sale. Very cool and awesome project piece. It has a gray/blue airforce looking paint under a olive green paint job. Not exactly sure what I have but very cool and sharp looking. I will try and get pictures a.s.a.p. 848-203-7856”
