About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Have a 1942 Willy’s, runs and drives. Engine and transmission are not original, both are 1980’s s-10. Transmission is automatic. Has a winch on the front. Painted to look like a WWII Medical Jeep, looks like the ones in MASH. Asking $4500 but will consider offers.”
“1947 Willys CJ2A. This is a great jeep for restoration, or a daily driver. The frame, engine and running gear are excellent. The body has rust under the doors and on the floor. It is solid enough to drive every day, and there is still enough there to restore. This jeep came from Wyoming in 1999. Since then, I have been driving it on a weekly basis. The jeep has been converted to a 12 Volt system. The highlight of this Jeep is the Warn Overdrive. These go for about $800.00. It allows you to drive safely at up to 60 mph without ruining the engine. There is 18,000 miles on the sleeved, hardened seat, rebuilt engine. The photos show a paper air cleaner system. I still have all the oil bath stuff. The trailer is a 1951 military. There is some rust at the forward part of the floor. If you consider the value of the Jeep, overdrive and trailer, you will see that this is a very good price.”
“these is a great little jeep run and drive has good lic.want to trade it for 4×4 ,mustang, camaro, sport car ect or good fishing boat or sail boat the jeep i am selling is the green one in picture”
(03/11/2010) Brett spotted this. It has been patched a bit, but it sounds like it still rambles around well.
“This is a 1947 Willys Jeep it runs and drives awesome. The 4 wheel drive works great it is a 3 speed manual. The interior has been rhino lined doesnt look bad. The gas tank has been moved to the back behind the seats. All the lights work. The tranny shifts smooth. The body doesnt have rust wouldnt take long to be ready for paint. The hood is not original it was made looks pretty good. The windshield is plxy glass. The tires are 31″ and are about 75% tread on them. The jeep has been up at the cabin since 1993 stored in the garage used in the summer. The motor is a Chevy 6 cylinder. The oil pan does leak but would be an easy fix. This jeep would be a perfect hunting vehicle or pull behind your motorhome or whatever. It does have the hitch on the front for pulling it around. If you have any questions feel free to call me 801-821-1464 thanks. If you do win the auction i will need a deposit within 48 hrs of the auction. Shipping prices will range from $300 to $800 depending on your location. I will help with loading of the jeep on a transporter if needed just let me know.”
“1948 willys jeep cj2a. same body style as the ones you see in all the WWII movies (only this is the civilian version). has original L-134 Go Devil engine, has original trans, transfer case, front and rear ends, has original wheels. I have taken off the carb, intake and exhaust manifolds, the windsheild (with good glass), seats and original head. head has been shaved and cleaned up by a guy off of US 70 E in LaGrange, NC, I replaced part if the rubber fuel line. I have a new head gasket for it. Needs body off, tub needs to be either replaced of the appropriate replacement body parts welded on. Before I removed the head and replaced the fuel line, I figured out that the rubber fuel line was worn out so I wasn’t getting any fuel so I put gas in the carb and got it to move a little ways after I figured out the shift pattern and before the carb ran out of gas if you put it back together it will run. all the parts you need are on this web site http://www.kaiserwillys.com/. I am willing to part out or sell the whole thing for $300.00 or best offer (serious offers only not junk e-mails please). If you want larger parts (i.e. engine, transmission, ect.) give me a call a head of time and you can help me pull them for you (I should have all the tools needed eccept a cherry picker) and Ill get what I need from my toolbox at work. for smaller parts come by and pick them up”
Here’s a pretty good looking project. It appears some good work has already been done.
“47 CJ2A needs to be assembled. 1.Frame needs brake cylinder kits installed. Have kits. 2 Body has section in tool box under passenger seat that needs patched otherwise it needs small dings fixed. Its in very good condition. 3. Has good windshield and grille and fenders and tailgate. Just need to be bolted on. 4. Engine was supposed to be rebuilt. I put new gaskets in it but ran into problems when I tried to put the oil pump in. It ruined the gears on the pump but have a pump that gears can be taken off of. Not sure what is the problem there. May need a new cam or just a better gear?. Flywheel has been turned and ready to install. Have 16″ rims with old tires for it, but the 15″ tires for pushing it around go with it. Have a steering wheel but needs to be epoxyed. I have too many projects right now so I decided to sell it, but will keep it if I can’t get what I have into it out of it. Body and parts are really nice condtion.”

Newer wiring harness is installed. Lights work, but parking need to be hooked up. Brakes good. Clear title.”
