From a Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations comes a 1950 report that includes this unusual wood chipper possibly developed by the Fitchburg Engineering Corporation (?).

Bobcat Fiberglass Body Lewiston, Id Make Offer
This is in much better shape than my Bobcat body was. I took a look at the engine mentioned in the Ad and I think it is a prewar engine.
“I have a Fiberglass Tub for a Willys 1945 thru 1952 CJ2A CJ3A. This needs a little work but overall in great condition.

I also have both front & rear differentials/drive lines & L-134 Engine/Transmission/Transfer Case. This Engine assembly is not original to this 1948 CJ2A, it looks older. There are no markings from willys on the Head. Take a look at my other posting & tell me what it is.
I believe this to be 1941 thru 1944 War Jeep Engine.

2 Jeeps and a Chassis Hudson Valley, NY **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700
Well there is value here. But, please, a moment of silence for that poor CJ-2A; it may never have been a real soldier, but it looks like it got blown up just the same.
“I have 2 old willys mj jeeps. And a frame with rears and trans.”
Year? Flattie Tupelo, Ms $2200
It looks like a parts jeep. Did someone really think that rollbar system would work?

1946 CJ-2A Zanesville, Oh **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3400.
This might be a fine little run-about jeep for the price.
“1946 CJ-2a Runs great, everything works like it should. Original Go Devil engine, 6 volt electrical ( I thought about converting it to 12 volt, but it works so well I just didn’t see the point). The odometer shows less than 30,000 miles. I have no idea if this is accurate, but am sure it isn’t rolled over past 100,000 because I don’t think these engines last 100,000. The body looks good from outside and is fine to drive as is, but it is pretty rusted out underneath. My plan for this Jeep was to take it out to Colorado for elk hunting trips so I got it all working good mechanically so I wouldn’t have to worry about that during my hunt. I don’t get to go on hunting trips though so I don’t really need this Jeep so I decided to let someone else take it from here.
It is a blast to drive. Mostly I take my dogs for rides and go to the range in it. Everywhere I go people seem to love it.
I did take it off road one time by an old strip mine and was amazed at how easily this little jeep will go anywhere. I used to have a Cherokee that was lifted with 33 inch tires and this little jeep will go anywhere that thing did.”
1947 CJ-2A Delevan, IL **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
This may be an earlish 1946 based on the three dash plates.
“runs and drives needs the Carb rebuilt and put back on its in over good shape only has 4800 miles on it both seats are there”
1946 CJ-2A Wallingford, CT **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000
(09/05/2011) This appears to have a replacement body.
“Willys CJ2a Registered as a 1946 with many new parts and some upgrades. Runs great, extra parts.”
1948 CJ-2A Portland, Or $2000
The body interior is supposed to be rough, but I’ve seen much worse.
“LOOKING FOR SOMEONE SPECIFICALLY WANTING A 1948. IF YOU’RE JUST WANTING AN OLD FLAT-FENDER, YOU MIGHT AS WELL BUY A NEW BUCKET AND PUT IT ON A MORE MODERN DRIVETRAIN AND FRAME.
THIS JEEP HAS SUFFERED THROUGH ALL ITS YEARS IN THE OREGON RAIN AND USED MOSTLY FOR HUNTING AND SOME RANCH CHORES. THE FLOOR PANS ARE RUSTED THRU AND ANY PLACE THAT HELD WATER CONSISTANTLY.
IT IS FULLY 6V AND IT DID RUN WHEN I BOUGHT IT IN 08…….BUT IT DID NOT STOP! NO BRAKES WHAT-SO-EVER. PREVIOUS OWNER DROVE IT ALL OVER THE HILLS ON COMPRESSION ONLY.
THE WINDSHIELD DID NOT COME FROM THE FACTORY AS THE REST. ITS BEEN SWITCHED TO A ONE-PIECE WHICH IS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION.
THE RADIATOR IS A LITTLE DAMP AT THE BOTTOM BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO LEAK.
WHEELS ARE STOCK WITH OLD BIAS-PLY TIRES THAT STILL HOLD AIR.
I HAVE REMOVED EVERYTHING THAT IS BOLTED ON AND REMOVED THE DASH COMPONENTS AND STEERING WHEEL AND THE BODY IS READY TO LIFT OFF.
REASON FOR SELLING AS I HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS AND I HAVE ANOTHER 48 THAT I NEED TO GET GOING ON. AGE IS CATCHING UP WITH ME.
HERE ARE COUPLE PIC’S OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND THE OUTSIDE. THE WHITE TOP IS NO LONGER WITH IT. THE PIC. OF ME IN IT IS WHEN I DROVE IT AROUND THE BLOCK THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. BODY DOESN’T LOOK LIKE ITS EVER BEEN DAMAGE FROM ANY COLLISION OR ROLL-OVER.”
