“1948 Willys CJ-2A Jeep, Rebuilt Flathead Four Cylinder Engine, Runs, needs seats, gas tank
Great Resto Project, Clear Title, Body is fair
$2000”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer
This appears pretty stock. It might be worth a look if the seller isn’t unreasonable about the price.
“I am selling my 1948 willys jeep. Needs to be restored. All complete. Its been sitting for a few years, still very solid! 6 volt system. Comes with many extra parts, fenders, windshield, gas tank, exhaust, hubs, wheels, etc. Don’t need to sell so I won’t jump on any low ball offer. I would rather see someone enjoying it instated of it just sitting. Make me a reasonable offer.”
There appears to be value here.
“1946 WILLYS JEEP FOR RESTORATION PROJECT CLEAR TITLE OTHER PARTS INCLUDED”
UPDATE: Still Available
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A: This Jeep is in the process of a frame-off restoration. It is not finished yet…but a lot of the hard work is done. The engine is rebuilt. It has a new carburetor, radiator, all tune-up items, belts, hoses, etc. It comes with new floors. The frame is painted (has a few scratches). The body is sandblasted and ready for minimal rust repairs and floor replacement. It comes with a Skyjacker suspension lift (as well as the factory suspension), roll bar, etc. Lots of new parts are included (brake parts, bearings and seals, etc.). It is complete other than a few little things missing (easy to obtain parts). I also have a manual printed in 1966 from Jeep that will be of assistance. The Jeep has a lot of potential and will make a great project. This is a rare toy.
Thanks. Matt 785-817-7126″
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,900
(03/23/2011) At $10,900, there is NO windshield included. I’m sure it’s a solid jeep though. I think that front hangs a little low in the pic form the side.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $11,500
(09/11/2011) This jeep certainly looks nice, but I can see nothing to suggest this is a 1945 CJ-2A. To me it looks like it might be a CJ-3A, but maybe the frame is from a ’45.
“This is a 1945 Willys CJ-2A World War II vehicle with the 4-cylinder gas engine and a 3-speed manual transmission. It was restored about fifteen years ago and has been under boxes in my mother-in-laws garage since. She has driven it maybe 50 miles a summer though has religously started it a couple times a month. The engine puts out 60 horsepower and this Willys weighs about 2200 pounds. It starts right up and drives nice. It does have turn signals and is street legal. 4-wheel drive works and it gets lots of attention everywhere it goes. It is a 2A but does have a 3A windshield. Has original owner’s manual. $13,500”
Uh oh .. the “plexiglass is yellowed” …. plexiglass?
“Jeep 1948 CJ2-A. Extremely rare unmolested original: Original Plow with fan belt driven hydraulic lift mechanism, Original canvas top and doors. Intact, but Plexiglas is yellowed, Original upholstery. Original factory dealer installed options: Warn hubs, Right side hand-operated wiper, Tow bar, Bug screen, Second tail light, Spare tire (wheel was standard). Top quality repaint in original Patomic Grey with original paint scheme faithfully reproduced (correct bare metal areas, black trim, original wheel color etc.). Runs beautifully. This Jeep has to be the most original one left. (When you drive it on the interstate, keep to the right. Top speed 60.) $16,995.00. 518-461-1472.”

“I have 2 Willys CJ2A jeeps…. Both have been sitting for 20 years… They both have complete drive trains , and mostly complete bodies… The bodies are very rough though and these jeeps are best suited as parts donors… I want to move these so I am asking $300 each , or both for $550.. ( very close to scrap metal value ).. I have other early jeep stuff available also .. MB GPW M38 M38A1 CJ2A CJ3A CJ3B, CJ5….. nothing after 1970 .. Mark 413 231 4909”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
“1946 CJ2A for sale. Virtually complete. Stock engine, transmission, tcase and 6v electrical system in place. Has non-stock rims and 33″ tires. Two tires hold air just fine, one holds air for a bit, one is destroyed. I’ll be removing the seats and the stock rim/tire before a sale. Willing to provide more photos and info if you’re interested.”
