Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 JEEP WILLYS CJ2-A Serial # CJ2A57491. Drivetrain consists of the smooth running 134 Cl flathead l-4 cylinder motor and heavy duty 3 speed synchromesh transmission with cane type shift, 4×4 transfer case.
Beautiful fresh jade Green Finish, full tail gate, side mounted tire and Exteral fuel cap. Excellent Light Gray Vinyl interior, Working full gauge package. Recently a total restoration was done on this excellent and solid Original Civilian Jeep the 110 speedometer is showing 302 Miles… a real Gem !!!”

This has a few issues, including a brushed on paint.
“Up for auction with no reserve is a cj2a it is titled in 47 but built in 46 serial number 50509. The jeep looks great from 5 feet away but paint was brushed on. It starts right up with no problems but smokes and drives great steering is very tight and it has turn signals. The jeep is converted to 12v the tub is in very good shape but would need some work to beable to put in car shows the fenders are unbelievable how solid they are it comes with 2 windshields and 2 hoods please look at the pictures. I just got it so I am limited on what info I will know about its history”

“I AM LISTING THIS WILLYS FOR MY SON. SO, RIGHT NOW MY DESCRIPTION MAY NOT BE ALL INCLUSIVE UNTIL HE REVISES IT. THIS IS A NICE RUNNING WILLYS THAT DOESN’T NEED ANYTHING TO BE A DAILY DRIVER. CURRENTLY BEING USED AS A TOY, THE WILLYS IS GARAGE KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. IT RUNS NICELY AND HAS THE NORMAL TOP SPEED OF 45MPH. THE INTERIOR IS BASIC WILLYS WITH NO FRILLS. IT DOES HAVE SOME SMALL ROT SPOTS IN THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT AND SOME SPOTS ALONG THE INSIDE OF THE REAR WHEEL WELLS. THE PICTURES SHOULD SHOW IT IF ENLARGED. IT COMES WITH A CANVAS TOP AND DOORS. GAUGES ALL WORK EXCEPT THE GAS GUAGE. THE ACTUAL MILEAGE OF THE WILLYS IS UNKNOWN. I PUT 50000 TO FILL IN THE UPPER BLOCK AND MAKE EBAY HAPPY. THE WINDSHIELD IS INTACT. IT OPENS OUT AND IT ALSO FOLDS FORWARD. THE TIRES ARE NEW. IT HAS NO MAJOR ROT OR DENTS ON THE EXTERIOR. THE PAINT JOB WAS DONE BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER WITH A RATTLE CAN BUT IT DOESN’T LOOK TOO BAD. COULD USE THE RUBBER CAB MOUNTS ON THE REAR AND ALL OF THE OTHER MOUNTS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. IT ALSO HAS A PTO FOR A 3 POINT HITCH IN THE REAR. WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS WAS A FARM TRUCK IN NORTH JERSEY. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS NEAT AND CLEAN. IT HAS ALL NEW METAL BRAKE LINES, WHEEL CYLINDERS AND HOSES. IT HAS ALSO BEEN CONVERTED OVER TO 12 VOLT. THIS IS A COOL LITTLE TRUCK TO TOOL AROUND IN AND IT DEFINITELY TURNS HEADS OF THOSE IN THE KNOW. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.”
