Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The jeep was running when parked 8 years ago for a hub issue, the hub was pulled and never repaired and the jeep has sat in the same spot ever since(hence the trees growing up around it). Jeep does not currently run, but all drivetrain components(engine,transmission,transfer case,differentials,axles) are fine. The drivetrain is the original Willys flathead 4 cylinder,3 speed tranny, all complete. The hood,front fenders,grill,tailgate and dash are in good shape. The tub(floorboard area) is completely rusted out. The frame is badly rusted on the back half, the front half looks strong and useable. The buyer will need a trailer,ramps, and a winch to transport the jeep, we can provide some assistance with loading if necessary. If interested, please call Scott at 512-844-3218, do not email.
The tow bar in the picture is not included in the sale of the jeep and will be removed this weekend.

(07/20/2011) “1948 restored CJ2A Jeep for sale. was completely redone about 20 years ago and has been stored in a garage since then. Every summer It is driven enough to replace the gas and is started every once in a while. Good running jeep. When restored, the 4 cyl jeep engine, transmissions, and differentials were rebuild. The body was redone and painted. no rust and in excellent shape. Has 12 volt jeep generator and regulator. Has signal lights. 15″ jeep wheels with radial tires. New seat covers. when restored. ”

“1946 Willys Jeep, CJ2A. Excellent condition!!! Runs great. Everything works. New body installed 2004. Frame was cleaned and painted. New wire harness, lights, brake lines and hoses. Transmission and transfer case rebuilt 2005. Converted to 12 volts. My dad has owned this jeep for over thirty year. Always kept inside. Reconditioning this jeep was his dream for many years. Now it needs to be sold.

The seller lists this as a 1950, but the grille suggest 1946. Are there tool indents? I can’t quite tell.
