This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “for sale a 1948 willys jeep. Runs and drives. Has original flathead 4 cylinder and 3 speed transmission. It has had disk brakes put on the front axle in place of the drums. Not too rusty. $2000 or best offer.”
“Hey, I have a 48 willys CJ2A I need a new front leaf spring for. I would like to buy them in a pair but I would take a single pack if thats what I can find. From what I can find they are all a 7 leaf pack from 1946-1964 and they will all fit”

This was on ebay, but the bidding was cancelled. I thought it was an interest approach to building a jeeprod. Both the body and frame are home built.
“You are bidding on a 1947 Jeep Streetrod with a homebuilt frame and body. It has a speedway front suspension, with a 4-link coil over rear suspension. It is powered by a 350 chevy bored 30 over, a 2 speed powerglide automatic trans and has 308 rear gears. It has Jegs wheels and new tires. Everything on the Jeep is either new or has been rebuilt. It rides and handles good and is fun to drive. I have put about 500 miles on it since the build with no problems.”

(08/15/2011) As the seller realized, it is never good to find a main bearing in the oil pan. This has the wrong tailgate, too.
“I have to get rid of my Willys to pay off my Rubicon, times are tuff. This is a 1948 Willys CJ2A it has a good deal of rust on some parts of the body, some of the pictures show the rust. I bought this car to restore it and add it to the Jeeps I own, but now I need the money to keep my Rubicon.The tires are not really any good, the motor is not in the best shape I took the oil pan off to see if it was a good idea to try and start it but I found what looks like the main bearing in the oil pan so I stopped work on it. I cant tell alot about the jeep, I think the seats I have for it are not correct, I dont think he gave me the correct gas tank. I do have a clear title, if the Jeep goes for over a thousand dollers I will throw in some extra parts I have for it, New wheel brake cylnders, Data plates etc.. If it sells for over a thousand dollers I will deliver it within 150 miles of area code 29680.”

The body is dinged and full of hay, but appears sound.
