Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This 1946 jeep is perfect for those who love to boondock, hunt or fish. v6 Buick gives you enough power to get out the mud or snow yet gets good gas mileage. Rig has a removable homemade hardtop, heavy roll bar. oversize aggressive tread tires with steel wheels, high- back bucket seats. this jeep is strictly a backwoods runner and not a show piece. It is strong in the off road mode. Might consider trade for running street legal motorcycle or a clean fold-a-boat sport boat.cs”

(12/14/09) “1946 willys cj2a with V6 buick motor. All stock running gear with WARN OD and hubs. Chevy steering box and column Needs lights hooked up and carb work. “My son and I picked this up as a project vehicle about 20 years ago. We put some time into it and had a lot of fun with it. My son has moved away and I don’t have the time to put into keeping it up, not too mention needing the space for new toys.
It has been almost 12 years since it has ran, but it it done run quite well. It has signs of being almost 70 years old, but is still a great little project for someone with the time, money and energy. It has been garaged and out of the elements since the day we we took it home.”
