This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep (first full year Civilian Jeep (CJ) made). Has 33K+ actual miles on odometer but rebuilt engine has about 2k on it. One family since new from Oklahoma as it belonged to my father-in-law before he passed on. I installed the rebuilt engine and did some clean up before taking it to a show which won first place in it’s class about 15 years ago. I keep it in good shape and insured and registered as it is so cheap at less than 200 miles a year. 12 volt coversion, elect fuel pump, electronic ignition, new gauges, resent rear seats and belts added and Mikey Thompson tires and wide wheels plus the five originals 16’s with good tread on tires too. Need to sell to help son with MS as it was a father/son project. Asking $6.500 with MT tires and wheels or $6,000 with just the stock ones. This Jeep runs great and drove on HY 58 to a show at Kramer Junction last month and it cruzed at 60 mph just fine for the 18 miles from my home and back. Will consider cash and part interesting trade but looking for some money here. Please no scammers or lowballers. This is a great original CJ2A and oh yea it has a PTO and winch that work too and clar CA title in hand.”

The grille looks more like a ’46 grille.
“I have a 1948 Jeep Willy, all of drive train is there but the motor needs freed up, only things missing is original seats, gauges, and tailgate….I have a box of new parts, consisting of all brake parts, ignition parts, 2 carborators, and a fuel pump. This is a project, but appears pretty original.
“1948 Willys Jeep Cj-2A sn154582. One-owner Jeep, original title, barn find, offered as found. Originally Potomac Gray. Paperwork folder includes payment book and registrations dating back to 1948. Sold originally at Greer Willys on Union Ave. in Memphis. Restoration started in 1970s but stopped for unknown reason. Chassis completely restored and is still shiny black. Engine rebuilt, turns. Trans & transfer case also reportedly gone through at that time. Body has surface rust only and is sitting on chassis, needs mount kit. Perfect Willys script tailgate, Willys script hood, original fold-out windshield, diamond-plate side steps, believed to be original canvas on driver’s and back seat, five original rims, even has original ignition key! Paint it and put it together! Nice straight project for early civilian Willys enthusiast. Will not part out. $2500”

“This is a 1946 Willys Jeep with a rust free frame and decent body to restore or use for fun. 4 cylynder flathead motor does not run. Has BF Goodrich tires All Terain with 99.9 % tread left. Will consider trades ? $1500 Call Mike at 614-783-five five nine seven”
