About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1948 Willys Jeep. Everything new or rebuilt. 225 Dauntless, Borg Warner T10 4 speed, Hurst Shifter, Dana 20 Transfer Case, 1973 Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear axles with 373 gears.”
“This is a project jeep, rolling chassis, started cutting out bad body metal, have some new replacement metal. New tires, body is on a homemade rotisserie thats included.”
(02/20/2022) The body looks in great shape. The custom console under the dash seems a nice fit (though probably not easy to get to given it is behind the shifters).
“Very nice finished Willys with newer Buick overdrive V-6 Detroit locker rear end with floater kit, 11 inch brakes. 4×4 lifted with tight suspension. Tow bar connector under front bumper. Solid straight body and undercarrige. Newer seat also has good floors and tub. This rig really likes to go fishing. Clean title $12,000 Plains Mt.”
“1948 willys Jeep CJ2a Flat fender with clean title, 1961 215 all aluminum Buick V8 swapped in with dual exhaust, was told it drove 2 years ago, motor turns free. new older tires still with nubs. Hard top and doors from newer CJ3b ? home made adapters to fill side area around windshield and tub. Aftermarket heater, Brakes don’t work, no fluid. no seats, early 60’s GM column, probably same Buick as engine.
great project for the right person, tub is in good shape for the age, drive floor patched, firewall was cut up for engine swap. Looks like all original sheet metal, extra trans and transfer case. $2800 as is Clean title
Has tow bar so it can be flat towed. but hard top and front clip only has a few bolts holding them on.
willys with out hard top and doors $2200
may sell hard top and doors separate, some glass broke $1300”
“Motors are everywear. Crated. New. What a great project in great condition for its year. Have title yes amazing ask if interested. 1943 world War Willie’s. Wow,”
“1948 Jeep CJ-2A flat fender Willys. Upgraded Buick V6 with overdrive installed, does cruise 60+ mph no problem. A ton of new parts including new wiring/brakes/tires. This is considered a rare “Lefty” which only means spare is mounted on drivers side. Runs great but does sometimes slip out of 2nd gear only off the gas/downshifting.”
“1946 willys jeep that was one time used as a sand dragster, (wild oats). I bought it as a project with a blown motor and trans. No rust, fiberglass tub and boxed frame. I rebuilt the SBC engine and trans for street use. Zero miles since done. Added all street legal requirements, head lights, tail, turn, stop, high beams, horn, windshield and wiper. Has brand new mud terrain tires and wheels. I added 4.88 gears and a powerloc to the front diff. The rear is a dana 44 with a spool. Chp would not allow me to license for street use. It is licensed for off road use. I do have current registration and pink slip. Come and get it for this season in the dunes.”
