About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(04/18/2011) “This is a great little project. It is set up for a small block chevy. It does not have an engine in it now. It does have a good body, title, frame, lift, power brakes/steering, rollcage. Call 419-602-3343.”
Actually, I don’t think the tub looks all that bad. That’s a nice shot of the extender on the back.
“1947 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A Model. We are the 3rd owner and have owned for approx. 2 years now. Previous owner had it for 50+ years. It was told to us that it had approx. 38000 miles on it. Have in hand Clean and Clear Title. My father bought this jeep to restore as a project and has lost interest in it. It is approx. 50% or more unassembled and have approx 95% or more of all original parts. Motor does run great. It does need a new body tub due to the original being to badly rusted. We have original tub with all ID plates still attached. Also have service manual and pics prior to restoration. Any other questions please email me and I can get my father to contact you because he knows more about this than I.”
“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep with L134 (4 cyl.) engine and 3 speed transmission. Not running, body rough, needs windshield glass, carburetor and passenger seat, but has Harrison heater. No title, sold with bill of sale. ”
“Early Willys Jeep 1946 column shift. I would say 99% original!!! All tags match; Dash, Firewall, Bdy and Frame SN: 33037. Toe board and talegate match 24255. The Jeep runs and drives fine for it’s age. I think the engine is original to Jeep when new SN: 33934 holds a little more than 20psi @ idle and about 35-40psi running. It is a column shift but someone cut the shifter @ the floor and put a top shifter in. I have the shifter that was cut and a good one that is included. I have all the linkage and a tranny cover for the floor, but do not have the top plate for the tranny itself. All the wiring is original and most everything works all 6 volt. Coil has been moved to the block but I have the one that mounts on the dash with the key. Very little rust two holes one on eather side in the floor “Wood in hat chanles” that make it rust. Someone has pachedunder the gas tank, tool box solid. I do not have the tail light. All the parts that are never there are!! crank pully guard, splash shield under starter, sheild on frount cross member etc all in place. I am telling you this is one ove the most compleat and original I have ever seen. VERY EASY TO RESTORE. clear Oregon title questions call Dave 541-892-4557″
(08/16/2010) Nice old school jeep build. It looks well put together with an unusual paint job.
“1947 Willy’s Jeep. Great condition with very low miles. V8 350 small block. Extra hood that matches the striping is included. Many many additional jeep parts available. Make offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay. This sold in 2011 on craigslist for $4500.
(06/25/2010) “For 64 years old this Willys is is nice shape , it starts right up, (even after sitting all winter) runs very good, I really dont know much about it. It appears to be original, but I am not a expert. Willys flat head 4 cyl, 3 speed trans on the floor, 4 wheel drive work good, both low and high range, idles good, good down the road fine, I just drove it to town today, the transmission shifts smoothly no shimmies or wobbles.. The windshield has been separated from the body, this will need some work to reattach.(or replace)Includes a aftermarket top and doors, ( the top has mouse holes chewed in them, it would need a new soft top, but this one is included if you want it., The battery is 12 volt and it held a charge all winter, ( it does need a new battery hold down). Serial number is 67874.”
“I have a 1946 Willys. Body is rough, it’s sitting on a CJ5 frame with wrangler leaf springs/springover axle. Has a decent CJ3a windshield frame and hood. No fenders/ drivetrain or wiring it is a roller.”
