About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
For a $7800 jeep, the body looks pretty rough. Check out where the windshield has been mounted. That looks a little strange.
“This is as clean as they come. 145 puonds compression on all cylinders , fresh paint no rust , winch , new seat covers , shocks ,7.50 X 16 D mud grip tires , 12 volt conversion. This jeep has been on a ranch in TX since 1978 and taken care of. DOG NOT INCLUDED !!!!!”
“I have had it for years and last used it in 2003. I put new tires on it at that time. It has a homemade metal top but no doors. It has a tow bar. It would take a battery and some carb cleaning to get it started up again. That is what I did when I bought it. The bad part as far as mechanical is it has no brakes. I never needed them as it is geared very low in low range and the other thing is when I got it the clutch had no fel to the pedal. I replaced the spring on the throwout bearing and that gave me a working clutch. Well, it has either come loose or broken so it is not working again. The spring is about 2.00 but you have to unbolt the transmission to put it on. I would like to get my aproximately 2500. out of it as I know in a day it would be back running but I do not have time. It has a little slack in the steering but the engine and transmission is fine. You could count the fan revolutions turning when it was running.Asking 2500. but would listen to a trade of something unusual and cash. This little thing would idle through almost anything but my family has no interest in it. Make an offer. It was red when I got it years ago and I spray painted it camo. That paint is coming off so it looks uglier than it really is.It has been kept in my barn. Call 662-288-Six Zero Two Zero”
This frigid CJ-2A suffered through consecutive days in the 20s in Columbia, South Carolina, this winter. It was snapped on January 7, 2010 and published at wunderground.com.
It looks like the driver’s side entrance might have been trimmed.

“1943? WW2 willys jeep. fenders are in the back and the original ww2 grill.rust on the front floor boards. I have seen alot worse. has six cylinder Ford motor in it. stuck. spare parts in tool box. has driver seat only.”
It runs and drives. Might not be a bad price if the body is decent.
“1946 CJ2A… Rebuilt motor runs great. Minimal rust. Clutch needs some TLC among other things. Have wind screen. Asking $1,900 or best offer. Located in Massachusetts. Call Andy… nine seven eight. two five seven. nine six four one.”
(11/30/2010) Bob spotted this really nice original restoration. I’d like to see some better pics. I also really like the color scheme. I do have a couple minor, really minor detail questions pertaining to originality. Wouldn’t the bezels have been painting the body paint color (though I think they look better in black)? Also, wouldn’t the rear bumper have had the dropped PTO connector angle (though I like the looks of the bumper that was installed on this)?
“Early production column-shift model 20670.
Ground-up restoration to original condition. The jeep has the original 134 cid in line 4-cylinder engine, column-shift T90 3-speed manual transmission and transfer case. Every piece on this classic Jeep has been disassembled, media blasted and rebuild, reconditioned, or replaced to achieve its as new condition. This Willys has been finished in the correct Harvest Tan color with the corresponding orange wheels. ”

“1947 Willys CJ2A
This project is almost complete.
Mechanically this is in great shape. The engine transmission transfer case and differentials are all in great working order. The brake system is rebuilt and they work great. This cj has the original flat head 4 cyl motor and is still 6 volt.
What needs finished is the cj needs painted and re-assembled.”
