Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (02/21/2011) This might make a good, cheap restoration for a non stock vehicle.
“CJ2A WILLY’S 1943 frame with 1947 body and 1946 willys go devil motor. willys marked winshield frame , hood , and tailgate. front: dana model 25 rear: dana model 44 warner t 90 trans (3 speed) dana 18 tranfer case. body needs lots of work. engine needs belts battery, and air cleaner assy. needs new master cylinder, lines , and wheel cylinders.”

“1953 WILLYS IN GOOD SHAPE, ALL ORIGNAL BODY…. LOTS OF UPGRADE CHEVY 4.3L V6 WITH 4 BBRL CARB. FULL WITH DANA 35 UP FRONT. FORD 9 INCH IN REAR WITH FULL SPOOL AND 4.56 GEARS, CURRIE AXLES.. PTO WINCH, 33X12.50 15.. FLOWMASTER… TOW BAR SO ITS EASILY TOWED TO DESERT ETC…. RUNS GREAT. THIS IS A FUN OFFROAD TOY… STREET LEGAL BUT MAINLY INTENDED FOR 4WHEELING.. YOU HAVE TO SEE TO APPREICATE..,”

“ford 289 with 351 winsor cam locked up in rear comes with 8000 pound warn upright winch. newer tires and wheels needs new seats full roll cage 11 inch disc brakes in front with a micro lock for all four wheels. new holly demon advenger off road carburator needs new headers or crack welded. four speed ford transmission. runs great lots of power 4500 obo”

(09/27/2010) “I have a 1947 CJ 2A. it is a project vehicle I just havent been able to start on let alone finish. Body is relatively solid, its all there, included in the deal is Dana 27 front 3.73 gears, Dana 44 rear 3.73 gears, NP 435 4spd (from Ford half ton 2wd) all jeep wheels that fit it. Pics available soon. But needed to post this to start the process.”
